With a dynamic career spanning over a decade in the luxury hospitality industry, Michael Rodriguez brings a wealth of experience, coming off back-to-back new hotel openings and a renovation. Known for his relentless pursuit of excellence and exceptional leadership skills, Rodriguez pushes the culinary team at Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita to new heights.
Rodriguez began his hospitality career at Westin La Cantera Resort in San Antonio, before joining Four Seasons at the former Dallas Las Colinas property as a food and beverage management trainee. Over the years, his dedication propelled him towards leadership roles, ultimately joining the opening team at Four Seasons Resort Orlando as the general manager of their signature restaurant, the now Michelin Guide recognized Ravello. His next venture began at the Fairmont Hotel Austin, where he served as the assistant director of food and beverage, overseeing the development of more than eight dining outlets.
Returning to the Four Seasons family in 2021, Rodriguez took on the role director of food and beverage in Houston. During his tenure, he successfully managed the renovation and launch of Toro Toro as well as the speakeasy Bandista, which was nominated for the Spirited Award for Best New Cocktail Bar. Under his direction, these outlets became the go-to destinations for Houstonians, achieving record numbers in 2022.
As a drummer and pianist, Rodriguez has life-long passion for music, which he explored at the University of North Texas where he studied both music and hospitality. In his free time, Rodriguez is also an avid recreational runner and photographer, eager to draw inspiration from Punta Mita's breathtaking vistas. He also loves to spend time with his wife Kassandra and their two young daughters, Alessandra and Audrey.
