Visa-free travel. Family-friendly experiences. Diverse dining options. Unique adventures and reassuringly sustainable practices. This summer, Chinese travellers have more reason than ever to make Four Seasons Resorts of Asia their destinations of choice for tropical adventures.

“We are committed to creating luxury experiences with genuine heart, ensuring our Chinese guests feel at home while exploring new horizons,” says Rami Sayess, President of Hotel Operations - Asia Pacific. “With visa-free travel from China opening up new possibilities, we’re delighted to showcase all that our Resorts of Asia have to offer, from bucket list adventures to the evolution of sustainable travel.”

From meeting rescue elephants to swimming with manta rays, starlit treetop spa rituals to the spoils of a “no-limits’ private island,” Four Seasons Resorts of Asia serve up a thrilling immersion into the culture, heritage and creativity of 11 incredible destinations.

Visa-Free Destinations, Hassle-Free Travel

March 2024 saw visa restrictions lifted between China and Thailand on a permanent basis. And with 350 flights a week between them so far in 2024, China and Malaysia have also recently extended their visa-free agreement until the end of 2025.  Add visa-free travel to the Maldives, and the ability to now apply for a tourist visa upon arrival into Vietnam, and Four Seasons Resorts of Asia have never been so accessible – or appealing. The delights that await are breathtaking: a mile-long (1,600 metre) beach, 48 acres (19 hectares) of gardens, and dramatic UNESCO Global Geopark surrounds at Four Seasons Resort Langkawi; rescued elephants, luxury tented accommodations and the lush jungle of northern Thailand at Four Seasons Tented Camp Golden Triangle; and one of Forbes “best beaches in the world” on the doorstep of one of Asia's most atmospheric and photographed towns at Four Seasons Resort The Nam Hai, Hoi An.

Bucket List Family Experiences

Jungle rock climbing and archery. Dolphin cruises and inspiring coral regeneration. First underwater breaths and lagoon-protected snorkels. At Four Seasons Resorts of Asia, families are encouraged to open their eyes to a world of wonder. At Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Landaa Giraavaru, families can swim with the world's largest known population of manta rays, alongside the marine scientists who have spent close to two decades studying them. Four Seasons Resort Langkawi offers boat safaris direct from its mile-long (1,600 metre) beach to see the extraordinary walking fish, colourful crabs, otters, bats, and eagles that call the adjacent mangrove forests home. Meanwhile families (ages six and above) can learn to surf together in the warm shallow lagoon of Four Seasons Maldives at Kuda Huraa; it is also one of the only resorts in the world where kids as young as eight can learn to dive directly in the lagoon, avoiding pool lessons. And at Four Seasons Resort Bali at Sayan, families are afforded the rare opportunity to be one of just a few to visit a traditional village known only to Resort guides on the Can You Keep A Secret Tour.

Intergenerational Living, Elevated

Soaring spaciousness, legendary Four Seasons service, and locally inspired design unite in thoughtful Four Seasons Resorts of Asia accommodations. Traditional Thai hospitality beckons at Four Seasons Resort Koh Samui and Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai, where intergenerational groups can savour Private Retreat experiences in expansive Residence Villas with up to five bedrooms set in their own landscaped gardens. Personalized itineraries, and complimentary dining for kids aged six and under add extra value. Family State Rooms dial up the luxury of “last frontier” travel aboard Four Seasons Explorer Palau: the ultimate chilled space for two adults and a child aged 8 to 15 to retreat after snorkelling with 600,000 stingless golden jellyfish in Jellyfish Lake or marvelling at ancient megaliths on Babeldaob Island. Seeking limitless living for family groups of up to 22? Four Seasons Private Island Maldives at Voavah is a secluded 5-acre (2 hectare) island haven complete with its own Beach House, 62-foot (19 metre) yacht, dive centre, spa, water sport centre and even a resident pod of dolphins.

Taking Sustainable Travel Seriously

At the heart of every Four Seasons Resort of Asia experience lies a dedication to preserving the local landscapes, heritage and communities that make each stay so enriching. Guests of Four Seasons Resorts Maldives at Landaa Giraavaru and Kuda Huraa can assist a team of 15 onsite marine biologists with pioneering conservation initiatives, including the rehabilitation of injured sea turtles and one of the Indian Ocean's largest coral reefscaping projects. An equally interactive approach to animal protection exists at Four Seasons Tented Camp Golden Triangle where a partnership with the Golden Triangle Asian Elephant Foundation enables guests to care for – and even have breakfast with – rescued elephants. Across other Four Seasons Resorts of Asia, creative projects turn waste into wonder. At Telu bar in Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay, families learn how to make zero-waste sustainable mocktails in an interior made entirely from upcycled materials.  Young Guardians Of The Earth are encouraged to learn about the land during gardening and composting activities at Four Seasons Resort Nam Hai, Hoi An. Pioneering coconut composting supports local farmers at Four Seasons Resort Koh Samui. And at Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai, guests can learn traditional rice farming techniques overseen by the Resort's friendly resident water buffaloes.

A Fiesta of Fine Dining

Whether keen to explore global gastronomy or seeking the comfort of familiar flavours, Four Seasons Resorts of Asia dazzle with a diversity of cuisine across a multitude of settings. Day-to-night dining at Four Seasons Resort Langkawi might encompass buffet breakfast at Serai overlooking the Andaman Sea, Josper-grilled seafood and steaks for lunch at Kelapa Grill, sundowners at Rhu Bar and a dinner showcasing centuries-old Malaysian recipes at Ikan-Ikan. Elsewhere, local culinary quirks and in-the-know secrets invite exploration: Jimbaran’s traditional seafood BBQs with a side order of sunset magic at Sundara at Four Seasons Bali at Jimbaran Bay; a barbecue stranded on a sandbank in the middle of endless ocean at Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Landaa Giraavaru; vintage Vespa scooter tours of Hoi An’s hidden culinary gems at Four Seasons Resort The Nam Hai; and locally-produced Monsoon Valley wines and Chiang Rai cheeses at Four Seasons Tented Camp Golden Triangle as part of a wine and cheese tasting experience set against the camp’s jungle backdrop.

Where Adventure Comes Naturally

At its core, travel is about immersing in new and unexplored territory. Four Seasons Resorts of Asia take guests off-the-beaten-track as part of the collection's commitment to open minds and expand horizons. Bucket list adventure abounds on Four Seasons Explorer Palau, from waterfall picnics to diving with disco clams to a castaway experience on an uninhabited emerald isle in the UNESCO listed Rock Islands. Guests can set the pace at Four Seasons Resort Langkawi, whether kayaking peacefully through the mangroves, spotting rare birds with a naturalist, or taking in the sublime golden sunset on paddleboard. The Sayan Valley Biathlon awaits at Four Seasons Resort Bali at Sayan, where the scenic route weaves through tropical plantations, emerald rice fields and jungle and river wilderness. And proving that journeys inward can often be just as adventurous – and life-changing – the new Healing Tent at Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Kuda Huraa offers private wellbeing experiences in a dedicated 18-foot (5 metre) sanctuary that symbolically connects nature, ancestral knowledge and one’s own core being.
