Southwest Splendour This Fall in the Land of Enchantment with Four Seasons Resort Rancho Encantado Santa Fe

Experience a fall getaway to remember

September 26, 2024,
Santa Fe, U.S.A.

Plan a getaway this fall to the newly enhanced Four Seasons Resort Rancho Encantado and discover the best of Santa Fe, from art and adventure to wellness and cultural immersion.

“With the smell of piñon wood in the air and crisp evenings perfect for fireside s’mores, fall is the perfect time to experience the unique blend of culture, cuisine and natural beauty of Four Seasons Resort Rancho Encantado Santa Fe,” says General Manager Melissa Sims. “Take in a signature event in the destination, embark on a hike to discover the leaves changing colours or experience an immersive excursion with our onsite Adventure Center team.”

Fall Hikes with the Adventure Center

Experience the beauty of fall with a scenic hike, led by the Adventure Center Team. Adventure Architect Hans Loehr recommends the Jemez Mountain area, offering trails perfect for exploration and fall colours. Sights along the trails include bubbly hot springs, vermillion desert cliffs and alpine peaks, and the chance to hear elk bugling. Combine the experience with a visit to Los Alamos to learn about the Manhattan Project and the birth of the Atomic Age. Each experience can be completely customized. On property, guests can join the complimentary, daily hike along the Camino Encantado trail for elevated views of the leaves changing colour and the season in transition.

Things to Do in Santa Fe

Experience balloon-filled skies in October at the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta or head to Meow Wolf with the family for an immersive art experience. Santa Fe is the second oldest city in America, with much history to uncover. Discover New Mexico’s spooky side and little-known past at the 7th Annual Santa Fe Spirits of New Mexico on October 26, 2024. Or join the celebration of honouring those who have passed at the city’s iconic Dia de Los Muertos parade and celebration at the historic Santa Fe Plaza from November 1 to 3, 2024.

Discover Art and Culture

Explore Santa Fe’s many galleries with the signature Art Concierge program at Four Seasons Resort Rancho Encantado. Led by Mike McKosky, a fixture in the Santa Fe fine art scene since opening InArt Santa Fe in 2006, the Art Concierge program provides a range of services exclusively available to Resort guests. Guests can customize an itinerary based on their style, budget, desired artwork, and length of visit to ensure a seamless shopping expedition to source items for their collection. The Art Concierge also can coordinate artist meet-and-greets, plus private showings or after-hours experiences at some of the city’s top galleries.

Wellness and Mind-Body Connection

Acclimate to fall weather with a signature treatment at The Spa, offering high-desert healing and a variety of facials, massages and body treatments, many incorporating botanicals and healing rituals of northern New Mexico. The Mountain Spirit Purification treatment begins with a smudging of sage, followed by an adobe clay body mask and juniper-sage hot stone massage. The Altitude Adjustment Massage focuses on easing respiration, relieving headaches and helping guests adjust to Santa Fe’s mountain elevation of more than 7,000 feet (2,100 metres). Complement The Spa experience with complimentary weekly yoga and sound healing classes in the Movement Studio.

The Flavours of Fall

Four Seasons Resort Rancho Encantado is home to the signature Terra restaurant, where global influences meet regional delights. New for fall, featured seasonal offerings include butternut squash soup with spiced pumpkin seeds, juniper braised lamb shank with charred carrots and a new Thursday night special of elk osso buco with herbed polenta. Other programming for fall includes celebratory Halloween and Dia de Los Muertos specials, and seasonal mezcal flights. Families will enjoy complimentary s’mores by the fire, either in the comfort of their casita or at sunset with sweeping mountain views.
