Long before he ever set foot in a professional kitchen, Gensolin learned the most important lesson of his craft at his grandparents' table. Watching them welcome people into their home and feed them with warmth and generosity remains the quiet force behind every dish he creates.
The resort's unique integration of wellness through movement, nourishment and rest presented a natural and compelling fit, where he could combine his care for others with his cooking.
In the kitchen, he is guided by a belief that manifests in the personal connections he makes with guests, the thoughtfully crafted dishes designed to enhance each individual's experience and the generosity of spirit he works to instil in his team. For him, success as a chef is inseparable from success as a leader. If he can share his passion for being gracious and hospitable with those around him, the rest follows naturally.
His favourite moment of the day is after sunrise, watching horses and wranglers move across the ranch in the early morning quiet. When not at work, he seeks out a volleyball or basketball game or hosts beachside barbecues surrounded by friends and family.
