Her early experiences caring for animals inspired a deeper commitment to protecting natural ecosystems, leading her to pursue a Master’s Degree in Conservation and Biodiversity from the University of Exeter and transition into a career focused on marine protection.
Dr. Kat began working alongside Four Seasons in 2022 at Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Landaa Giraavaru as a third-party Turtle Veterinarian and Specialist before progressing to Marine Centre Manager. In this role, she led coral reef restoration initiatives and supported community outreach programs, helping to strengthen the connection between guests, local communities, and the surrounding marine environment.
Deeply passionate about nature and the ocean, Dr. Kat brings both scientific knowledge and infectious enthusiasm to her work. She believes that meaningful conservation begins with connection, creating moments that inspire people to care for the marine world.
Now beginning a new chapter with Four Seasons Resort Seychelles, Dr. Kat is excited to share the extraordinary marine life and conservation efforts that make the islands so special. Whether introducing guests to snorkelling for the first time or guiding seasoned ocean lovers through vibrant reefs, she finds immense joy in helping others experience the magic of the ocean.
In her free time, Dr. Kat enjoys running, freediving, and capturing the beauty of the underwater world through photography, passions that continue to deepen her connection to the natural environments she works to protect.
