St. Louis, U.S.A.

This summer, guests of Four Seasons Hotel St. Louis can choose from a new collection of local adventures to explore the city from a new perspective.  The Hotel is teaming up with Gateway Helicopter Tours and Big Muddy Adventures, so guests can take to the air and to the majestic waters of the Mississippi to see a new side of St. Louis.  Plus, with the Hotel’s new picnic backpack, guests can enjoy a gourmet experience on the go.

Let’s Have a Picnic

Guests can now enjoy a delicious picnic perfectly packed in a custom backpack outfitted with everything needed for a relaxed al fresco meal wherever, whenever.  Easily ordered through In-Room Dining, there are two options from which to choose.  First, an excellent companion for a sunset stroll to Gateway Arch National Park, is the selection of charcuterie and cheese paired with a bottle of wine. For heartier appetites, the second offers an ample three-course spread that includes Cinder House restaurant’s signature onion dip with homemade potato chips, followed by a choice of turkey club or piri piri chicken sandwiches or cavatelli pasta, with the St. Louis classic gooey butter cake to finish.  The cost of the picnics are USD 150 and USD 250.

Gateway Helicopter Tours

For a bird’s eye view of St. Louis, guests can board a helicopter and fly above it all, taking in everything from the Gateway Arch and Mississippi River to Forest Park and the Missouri Botanical Garden. The tours board just in front of the Gateway Arch, an easy walk from the Hotel, and, taking along a picnic backpack to enjoy in the park before or after, enhances the experience even more.

Mississippi River Adventure

The Hotel is partnering with local outfitter Big Muddy Adventures to help guests experience the Mighty Mississippi like never before. On this unique excursion, guests board a voyager canoe and paddle past St. Louis’ landmark bridges, historic architecture and Gateway Arch while floating down the legendary river. There are many options for fully-guided river trips, from hour-long paddles to longer journeys that include stopping on a pristine island for a picnic lunch.

Guests can contact the Hotel concierge to arrange their helicopter and canoe adventures. And, while at the urban resort property, can immerse themselves in classic St. Louis style, including lounging poolside just steps away from the Gateway Arch. On the Sky Terrace, a rare urban escape perched on the eighth floor, the resort-style heated pool and hot tub are surrounded by private cabanas where guests are pampered with personalized service and an array of amenities.  Adjacent to the pool is the Game Deck, an area primed for fun with bocce ball, corn hole, oversized Jenga and more.  The lushly landscaped patio also features the al fresco Cinder Bar for cocktails and bites with plush seating lit by twinkling bistro lights, while the terrace of the Hotel's signature restaurant Cinder House provides outdoor dining options.
