Celebrate the Spring Bloom and Mother’s Day at Mei Ume at Four Seasons Hotel London at Tower Bridge
This spring, Mei Ume at Four Seasons Hotel London at Tower Bridge is celebrating Japan’s iconic cherry blossom season with a special Spring Bloom partnership with Saicho sparkling tea. Transforming the restaurant into a blossoming oasis, the space will be adorned with handcrafted paper cherry blossoms and butterflies by art studio Dobrowolski Designs, creating an immersive setting that captures the beauty and transience of spring. Specially made Saicho cocktails will be on offer alongside Head Chef Peter Ho’s new Spring Bites menu, a selection of seasonal small plates inspired by the flavours of Japan.
Saicho is an award-winning British sparkling tea brand that uses the finest single-origin teas to create luxurious, non-alcoholic beverages designed for refined palates. The partnership with Mei Ume is an exciting addition to the restaurant's modern Chinese and Japanese culinary offering.
Mei Ume’s new Spring Bites menu features an array of Japanese inspired delicacies from crispy beancurd balls, made with prawn, pork and five spices to pan-fried chicken gyozas filled with chives, water chestnut and shallot. Golden kataifi prawns are elevated with foie gras and cranberry, while crispy salmon skin with salted egg offers a satisfying crunch. The spicy yellowtail gunkan, infused with truffle, chili, and bubu arare, is a standout, while the radish croquettes will leave guests wanting more.
Complementing the menu is a selection of Saicho sparkling tea cocktails. The Night Of Hojo blends Saicho Hōjicha with Hennessy XO and Grand Marnier for a rich, smoky flavour, while Kyoto Twilight combines Saicho Darjeeling, Earl Grey-infused Kinobi, elderflower, citrus and lemon for a light and floral drink. The non-alcoholic Ringo is a refreshing alternative featuring Saicho Jasmine, fresh green apple and a hint of vanilla.
In collaboration with Saicho, Mei Ume also invites guests to celebrate Mother’s Day during this Spring Season with a special eight-course menu, crafted specially to celebrate this special occasion. In addition to the Mother’s Day menu, Saicho and Mei Ume are also collaborating to host a one hour Mother’s Day Paper Butterfly Making Workshop, where guests can learn the art of paper cutting and crafting while enjoying a glass of Saicho tea followed by the Mother’s Day lunch.
Set in the elegant cherry blossom dining space, Mei Ume invites guests to embrace the arrival of spring with a fresh and contemporary take on Asian cuisine. The delicate paper blossom installation will feature throughout the restaurant, with each flower and butterfly crafted by hand by Dobrowolski Designs founder Nicola Dobrowolski, creating a beautiful ambiance.
The Spring Bloom menu is available now until June 14, 2025 and is priced at GBP 78 per person (for a minimum of two people). The Mother’s Day Paper Butterfly Making Workshop and Mother’s Day lunch is priced at GBP 78 per person. Guests can book here.
