Shawna Macdonald began her culinary career in Seattle in 2009, where she discovered a passion for restaurant kitchens that later evolved into a love for cake decorating. She competed in national cake artistry competitions, earning leaderboard placements at both the Long Beach Cake Competition and the San Diego Cake Show. A year spent in China studying street food and bakery techniques helped shape her global perspective, ultimately leading her to a career in luxury hotels and resorts. A graduate of The Culinary Institute of America in Napa Valley, she is passionate about blending classic technique with artistic expression, drawing constant inspiration from the natural beauty and craftsmanship of the West Coast.
