Bourbon Steak to Debut The Macallan Chalets at Four Seasons Hotel Washington, DC
Elevated chalets will transform the Bourbon Steak patio into a festive winter escape, featuring exclusive The Macallan pairings and seasonal culinary delights
This holiday season, Four Seasons Hotel Washington, DC will once again become a winter wonderland with festive chalets on the Bourbon Steak DC patio inspired by renowned single malt Scotch whisky brand, The Macallan.
The Macallan Chalets will transform the patio into an elegant winter escape inspired by the brand’s Speyside, Scotland estate, with three custom-built chalets, each adorned with rich wood tones and cozy accents. Designed to be enjoyed with an exceptional scotch, these bespoke lodges invite diners and imbibers to embrace the spirit of the holiday season.
The Macallan Chalets will feature exclusive pours from the heritage spirit brand, thoughtfully paired with new seasonal offerings from the Bourbon Steak menu:
- Smoked Salmon Latke featuring house-cured gravlax, crispy sweet potato latke, sour cream, pickled onion and dill, alongside a highball made with The Macallan Sherry Oak 12 Years Old
- Fontina Stuffed Gnudi with white truffle butter and toasted potato broth paired with The Macallan Double Cask 12 Years Old
- Lobster Pot Pie showcasing Maine lobster, baby leeks, black trumpets and lobster dumplings, with The Macallan Double Cask 15 Years Old
- Large Format Tomahawk, a 32 ounce prime dry-aged tomahawk served with The Macallan Sherry Oak 18 Years Old
Rounding out the offerings with a sweet and warm treat, Bourbon Steak DC’s Lead Bartender Engidawork Alebachew and Four Seasons Hotel Washington, DC Executive Pastry Chef Ashish Thalakkat have crafted The Macallan Hot Chocolate. Made with The Macallan Sherry Oak 18 Years Old and Valrhona chocolate, this adult confection is inspired by the landscape of Scotland and is topped with a Macallan milk foam, marshmallows, cinnamon dust, a chocolate tree, edible gold leaf and marshmallow twigs, reminiscent of the trees along the River Spey.
Debuting on November 27, 2023, The Macallan Chalets can be reserved here, with a lounge chalet, The Speyside Lounge, accommodating groups of up to 4; a small dining chalet, The Manor, for parties of 6; and a large dining chalet, The Estate, for groups of up to 10. The Macallan Chalets can be reserved for a rental fee of USD 25 per person, with a food and beverage minimum of USD 500.
