Michael Mina's Fifth Annual Wine & Dine at Four Seasons Hotel Washington, DC Brings Together Celebrity and Local Culinary Talent Benefitting Cancer Research
Four Seasons Hotel Washington, DC and Chef Michael Mina’s Bourbon Steak DC announce the return of the fifth annual Four Seasons DC Wine & Dine, a signature two-night culinary celebration bringing together acclaimed chefs, celebrated wines, and the Washington, DC community, with this year’s beneficiary being MedStar Health. Taking place November 12 and 13, 2026, the event will showcase an extraordinary lineup of culinary talent while raising critical funds to advance innovative lung cancer care, research, and patient support throughout the region.
The celebration begins on Thursday, November 12, with an all-star culinary showcase on the Bourbon Steak DC patio. Guests will enjoy an immersive evening featuring premium chef action stations, passed hors d’oeuvres, and wine and spirit tastings with both celebrity chefs and leading local chefs cooking side by side. The evening’s featured chefs include Chef Lorena Garcia, an internationally recognised chef, author, and television personality known for her vibrant approach to modern Latin cuisine and her role in bringing Latin flavours to audiences around the world; Chef Douglas Keene, the acclaimed chef and restaurateur behind the groundbreaking Cyrus, celebrated for his Michelin recognition, James Beard Award honours, and appearance as a finalist on Top Chef Masters; and host Michael Mina, joined by Bourbon Steak DC Executive Chef Quentin Welch and Four Seasons DC Pastry Chef Jillian Fitch. The lineup continues with the city’s best local talent, with more details to come. Décor by acclaimed event designer Stephen McGee will transform Bourbon Steak and Four Seasons spaces.
On Friday, November 13, the celebration continues with an intimate, four-course seated Fine Wine & Celebrity Chef Dinner. Michael Mina, Quentin Welch, Chef Douglas Keene, and Chef Lorena Garcia will each present a signature dish, paired with exceptional wines curated by Inner Cellars, featuring offerings from Laurent-Perrier, Lost Mountain Vineyards, and JDB Wines. The evening concludes with a dessert to follow.
“For five years, Wine & Dine has brought together an incredible community of chefs, hospitality leaders, and supporters who share a passion for using food as a force for good,” says Chef Michael Mina. “This event is a celebration of culinary excellence, but more importantly, it is an opportunity to come together and make a meaningful impact by supporting the lifesaving cancer research and care happening here in Washington, DC.”
Wine & Dine builds upon Four Seasons Hotel Washington, DC's longstanding commitment to advancing cancer research, continuing the legacy established through the hotel’s founding of The Race to Beat Cancer. Proceeds from the event will support MedStar Health’s efforts to improve stage 4 lung cancer outcomes by accelerating groundbreaking clinical trials, expanding access to innovative therapies, and improving quality of life for patients at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital and MedStar Washington Hospital Center. Funding will grow MedStar Health’s team of world-class physician scientists, advance molecular testing technology, support critical programs that guide patients through clinical trials, and more. The event also reinforces MedStar Health and Georgetown University Medical Center’s ongoing partnership with Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center, Washington, DC's only National Cancer Institute-designated cancer center.
“Our dedication to being at the forefront of cancer research never waivers,” says Neil J. Weissman, MD, chief scientific officer, MedStar Health. “Support from events like Wine & Dine is critical to helping us transform these groundbreaking discoveries into life-changing care for our patients.”
“Partnerships like Wine & Dine demonstrate the impact of our Washington, DC, community uniting behind a shared mission,” says Kenneth A. Samet, FACHE, president and CEO of MedStar Health. “The support for research generated through this event will expand access to compassionate, innovative cancer care for patients throughout our region.”
