Four Seasons Resort and Residences Whistler is offering an elevated take on a cherished afternoon tradition with its new Mountain-Top Afternoon Tea, whisking guests away on a breath-taking journey to the glorious peaks of the Pacific Coast range.

The exquisite outdoor experience, created with No Limits Helicopters, starts off with an unforgettable 45-minute helicopter tour. There’s nothing like seeing forested and snow-covered mountains that seem to go on forever from high above, a rare chance to marvel at and savour this incredible part of the planet. Guests will soar over majestic Cheakamus and Garibaldi Lakes, each one worthy of ooohs and ahhs, before flying past mighty Black Tusk, a remnant of a volcano that formed some 1.3 million years ago within the northernmost reaches of the Canadian Volcanic Arc.

The helicopter’s experienced, knowledgeable pilot will then take guests to the ancient Tantalus Glacier for a 30-minute stop. First things first: out comes the Champagne for a toast to celebrate the power and beauty of nature.

Then it’s pinkies up: with glorious 360-degree views, afternoon tea is served, catered by the Resort’s award-winning culinary team.

On the menu are thoughtfully curated and prepared savoury and sweet bites, complete with Classic and Blueberry-Orange Scones with clotted cream, lemon curd, and a selection of artisanal marmalades.

Salmon Vol au Vent is a flaky pastry with silken smoked-salmon, preserved lemon, crispy fennel, and fresh dill; Brioche Pillow is a decadent 24-hour slow-cooked short rib with wild mushroom duxelle resting atop soft house-made brioche bread. A Crispy Cheese Basket comes with baked phyllo pastry, light blue cheese labneh, caramelized pecan, fresh berries, and balsamic reduction. Foie Gras Gougeres are a delightful indulgence with foie gras mousse, candied orange peel, honey apple compote, and Grand Marnier.

For sweets, there’s a traditional New York-style Cheesecake with juicy, fresh berries; gluten-free Infinity Cake with fine 70% cacao chocolate; and divine Pecan and Chocolate Tarte. Assorted colourful macarons top the tier.

Mountain-Top Afternoon Tea is an experience unlike any other in a setting that might feel impossibly beautiful – but presents a tangible sense of opportunity for those who wish to venture into it.

The full experience complete with Champagne is CAD 609 per person plus tax. Helicopter tour and afternoon tea is CAD 514 per person plus tax. Helicopter tour only is CAD 399 plus tax.
