This winter season, Four Seasons Resort and Residences Whistler reintroduces The Library by The Macallan, an intimate lounge where the world of whisky meets elevated craftsmanship and timeless luxury. Reopening on November 28, 2024, this refined space invites guests to embark on an immersive journey into the artistry and heritage of one of the world’s most iconic single malt Scotch whisky brands.

A Journey Through Colour

The Library by The Macallan showcases "A Journey Through Colour," an homage to the transformative art of whisky-making. From clear, new-make spirit to rich amber hues, each cocktail and whisky expression reflects a story steeped in 200-years of tradition and innovation.

Key highlights include:

• Curiously Clear –   luminous and smooth cocktail featuring The Macallan Double Cask 12 Years Old, lime zest, allspice berry, clove, almond and toffee.
• Acorns & Glasshouses – A refreshing, carbonated cocktail crafted with The Macallan Double Cask 12 Years Old, Verjus Blanc, lemon oil, and a house-made ginger blend.
• Obsidian in Time – An opulent, refined creation showcasing The Macallan Sherry Oak 12 Years Old with macadamia, tonka bean, espresso honey, and Sherry foam.

Each sip offers a glimpse into The Macallan's outstanding quality and distinctive character, reflecting the influence of the exceptional sherry-seasoned oak casks, which are the single greatest contributor to The Macallan’s aromas and flavours, in addition to natural colour, a visual tapestry ranging from light oaks to darkest mahoganies.

The Whisky Selection

For whisky enthusiasts, The Library features one of the largest collections of The Macallan in Canada, including the M Collection and rare limited editions. Highlights include:

• The Macallan Sherry Oak 30 Years Old – CAD 1,650 per ounce
• The Macallan Rare Cask – CAD 94 per ounce
• The Macallan M Collection Flight – A 3x 0.33 oz. journey through The Macallan M, M Black, and M Copper for CAD 1,995.

The Experience

The Library features an open fireplace, elegant and intimate seating, and bespoke bar accents, creating a sanctuary of warmth and sophistication. Guests can pair their whisky with thoughtfully crafted snacks, including Kaviari Caviar served with gaufrette potato chips, or sip on one of two zero-proof mocktails such as the invigorating Silent Spirit.
