Fall in Love with Austin During Autumnal Events at Four Seasons Hotel Austin

Downtown Austin hotel has published its calendar of seasonal events
September 13, 2023,
Austin, U.S.A

As temperatures (slowly) drop in Central Texas, Four Seasons Hotel Austin welcomes visitors and locals to join for a full line-up of autumn events and special offerings.

Game Day Celebrations

For most football fans, the action starts long before the first whistle, and the same holds true at Four Seasons. Whether guests bleed burnt orange or don a different colour, each University of Texas home game weekend boasts a variety of football-themed fun including interactive activities and pop-up shopping. Those looking for Longhorn libations can sip from the Hotel’s new teardrop trailer on the front drive or toast to a win with the UT-inspired Smokey the Cannon cocktail in Live Oak.

Oktoberfest

Próst! Raise a stein to two ways to celebrate Oktoberfest this fall with special events and menus curated by native German and long-time Executive Chef Elmar Prambs.

  • Oktoberfest Menu in Live Oak - Guests can enjoy an ongoing menu of traditional specialties in Live Oak, such as bratwurst and giant pretzels, and wash them down with featured German beers. The menu is available from September 16 to October 1, 2023.
  • Oktoberfest Celebration at The Point - For those looking to dust off their lederhosen, the fun-filled Oktoberfest celebration will take place on September 30, 2023, from 2:00 to 5:00 pm at the new outdoor venue, The Point. Festivities will include live music, stein-holding contests, and German delicacies available for purchase. The event is complimentary and open to the public and guests can reserve a spot via OpenTable.

Dia de los Muertos

The Hotel will again honour the rich traditions of Día de los Muertos, this year with a new twist. From October 3 to November 5, 2023, guests can savour unique gastronomic delights that symbolize the unity of life and death, and immerse in the true essence of Día de los Muertos. In partnership with Chef Richard Sandoval, Ciclo presents a menu that symbolizes the blend between the spirit world and physical realm with a fusion of kitchen and bar where boundaries are beautifully blurred. The culinary experts have crafted extraordinary dishes incorporating elements from the bar, while the talented mixologists have created tantalizing drinks infused with elements from the kitchen.

For the adventurous souls, a “flavour tripping” experience will be announced this fall. The extraordinary event featuring the M-Berry - the miraculous fruit that alters one’s taste buds - will have diners explore the boundaries of taste, stepping into a realm where flavours transcend the ordinary and connect them to the unbelievable.

Big Green Egg Barbecue

Live fire cook and Big Green Egg official pitmaster Jack Arnold returns to Four Seasons Hotel Austin and is “bringing the heat” with a high-energy crash course in gourmet grilling. On October 14, 2023, Hotel guests and locals can expect an exhilarating evening of cooking demonstrations, live music, and a spread of smoked favourites. Tickets can be purchased via OpenTable and include admission to the event, a Texas-sized portion of BBQ favourites, and a complimentary welcome cocktail.

Wellness Series

Rejuvenate the body and mind through monthly wellness offerings with ATX Yoga Girl. With classes ranging from Sound Healing and Meditation to Yoga, there is an opportunity for those of all experience levels and interests to tap into fully-body wellness. Taking place on the last Sunday of each month, this series is open to the public and complimentary for Hotel guests. Reservations can be made online.

Seasonal Spa Treatments

Both offerings will wrap spa visitors in a fragrant embrace and inspire feelings of harmonious attunement to the vibrant beauty of autumn. These services are available from September 5 to November 17, 2023.
