Four Seasons Resort Hualalai, the first and only AAA Five-Diamond and Forbes Five Star resort on the Island of Hawaii, debuts a robust schedule of programming ahead of the 2023 Festive Season. The beloved Hawaiian Resort prepares to welcome new and returning guests to Hawaii Island this December as the property abounds with an array of seasonal activations from special holiday menus and collaborations to dynamic keiki (children) programming, and seasonal traditions.

Four Seasons Resort Hualalai is consistently recognized for its one-of-a-kind experiences and the festive season is no exception. The Resort has curated an array of events and celebrations for 2023 including activities and experiences the whole family will enjoy including:

  • Santa’s Visit: Assure keiki Santa does in fact make it all the way to Hawaii with an event that will surprise and excite. Saint Nicholas will make a special appearance on Christmas Eve to join the festive arts and crafts event hosted by Kids For All Seasons, a complimentary recreational and educational program for Resort guests ages 5 to 12 providing a variety of games and activities.
  • Culinary Celebrations: Make memories tableside this festive season with friends and family by enjoying holiday feasts served at one of the many oceanfront locales on property. For guests of the Resort who celebrate Christmas and Hannukah, bountiful food stations will be fully stocked including seasonally inspired favourites, traditional dishes and of course a holiday sweets station of decadent desserts. In addition, various specialty luaus will serve authentic Hawaiian fare, craft cocktails and include hula entertainment with fire knife performances.
  • Promontory Dinner: Expanding the Resort’s partnership with the esteemed Napa Valley-based winery Harlan Estate, a final installment of the 2023 Winemaker in Residence dinner series will take place on December 27, 2023, with a spotlight on the elusive Promontory wines. The Resort’s Executive Chef Richard Polhemus will host this signature dinner alongside Anthony Mendelson, portfolio director, with a menu utilizing local Hawaiian ingredients that expertly pairs with the exceptional Promontory varietals.
  • NYE Gala: To ring in 2024, the Resort will host its annual New Year’s Eve Gala under the stars. Guests can delight in a selection of curated dinner stations set against the stunning backdrop of the Beach Tree pool, while a separate celebration for families - NYE Keika Gala - will be offered with kid-friendly activities, dancing, dinner and more. As the clock nears midnight, the Resort will commence the countdown to 2024 complemented by a stunning firework show along the water.

The Resort shines brightest for families around the holidays, with expanded offerings that foster creativity and connection for even the youngest guests. Outside of the traditional offerings, families can partake in beloved seasonal activities such as art classes at Seashell Pool; various theme nights that provide adult supervision and include dinner and plenty of adventure; and movie nights under the Hawaiian night sky at the Hoku Amphitheater with concession offerings such as hot dogs and popcorn. Year-round favourites are also available such as interactive ocean preservation and marine educational programming at the Kumu Kai Marine Center, water sports with the Resort’s Alakai Nalu (leaders of the waves), cultural experiences at the Kaupulehu Cultural Center, and more. One of the most anticipated returns is that of Camp Manitou, one of the nation’s foremost summer camps, returning to Hualalai. Daily programming includes immersive cultural and adventure experiences across Hawaii Island involving visiting secret beaches, exploring lava caves, stargazing at Mauna Kea and more.
