Spring 2023 sees the gourmands of Kuwait spoiled for choice, with Four Seasons Hotel Kuwait at Burj Alshaya reimagining its popular day-to-night Sky 21 Feast, alongside the debut of a creative new lunch menu from Italian Chef Luigi Frassanito at Dai Forni. These highly anticipated culinary adventures will be enjoyed with a side of panoramic city views from the Hotel’s 21st floor.

The Return of a Kuwaiti Taste Institution: Sky High Feasting is Back

Celebrating is definitely on the menu for the extravagant Sky 21 Eid thanks to its evening offering too, which makes a return on Eid-al-Fitr holidays. This always well-subscribed and utterly decadent sensory feast sees Dai Forni and Sintoho, the Hotel’s two 21st floor restaurants, join culinary forces under the expert craftsmanship of Executive Chef Thierry Papillier.

Guests are invited to meander through dazzling interactive cooking stations set up in both Italian-styled Dai Forni and Asian-inspired Sintoho, as well as a behind-the-scenes peek into the two restaurants’ kitchens for a truly 360 degree dining experience. This is the first time guests have been invited into these spaces to witness culinary creatives at work and interact with the chefs as they prepare the food. As they wander the mouthwatering array of offerings between the two venues, guests are encouraged to do their bit to bridge East and West as they savour life high above the city.

The culinary journey starts with freshly brewed Arabic coffee and the opportunity to capture memories with families and friends in a fun photo booth. Those entering via Sintoho will enjoy an Asian-style welcome, with Dai Forni arrivals greeted in warm Italian style.

From here, for daytime seating, guests can sip on a cool drink as they take in the unrivalled city views to a musical backdrop of Kuwaiti singer-guitarist Zak Musawi. In the evening, the vibe will switch gears as a DJ takes over to spin celebratory beats.

Eastern selections on offer include a dim sum station, teppanyaki table, sushi corner and traditional Peking duck carving station, while Western delights include a fresh seafood bar, live pasta station, and crispy pizza, served straight from Dai Forni’s iconic copper-sheathed, wood-burning ovens. Free-flowing water, soft drinks, fresh juices, tea and coffee are all included.

An East Versus West Dessert-Off?

The Sky 21 Eid will see Sintoho and Dai Forni’s private dining areas transformed for the first time into heavenly havens for dessert lovers, thanks to the artistry of Executive Pastry Chef Gregory Chrismant. Dai Forni presents the “Choux-Choux Room,” an indulgent selection of authentic French pastries, including eclairs, religieuses and Paris-Brest. Over in Sintoho, a “Dark Room” will feature chocolate art that might just look too beautiful to eat (but isn’t!).

Lunch Con Vista at Dai Forni

Meanwhile, Italian Chef Luigi Frassanito also brings his free-spirited cucina libera style of cooking to Dai Forni this spring with a new lunchtime menu.

The huge ovens that dominate the Sicilian-inspired interiors at Dai Forni set an imposing standard for the dining experience to follow: elevated Italian comfort food in a casual and family-friendly setting.

The new Dai Forni Business Lunch set menu adds a tantalising three-course option to the restaurant’s existing à la carte selections. New starters such as Carpaccio di Manzo - a beef carpaccio perfectly paired with parmesan cream, truffle dressing, and shaved black truffle - leads effortlessly into flavourful Sicilian mains such as Branzino in Crosta, a fillet of baked seabass accompanied by caponata and pine nuts. Dessert selections include the refreshing balance of Crostata a Limone di Amalfi e Basilico, a sugar dough combined with smooth lemon-basil curd, yuzu namelaka, and a lemon-basil sorbet.

Adding traditional flair to the à la carte menu, Dai Forni’s copper ovens - which lend the restaurant its name - turn out a sublime selection of pizzas. The menu also includes a range of imaginative antipasto dishes, soups, pastas, risottos, mains and desserts, all plated with Chef Luigi’s signature creative twists and accompanied by an equally compelling beverage menu.
