Greg Vernick and Cookie Till of Steve & Cookie’s Collaborate for One-Night-Only Fundraising Dinner at Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia

The dinner hosted in Vernick Fish on April 17 will benefit A Meaningful Purpose at Reed’s Farm

Vernick Fish, the contemporary American oyster bar located at Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia at Comcast Center, will host the beloved Margate, New Jersey restaurant Steve & Cookie’s for a one-night-only prix-fixe menu takeover on Wednesday, April 17, 2024. The five-course menu will highlight classic Steve & Cookie’s dishes as well as Vernick Fish favourites, presented by owner Cookie Till, her Executive Chef Kevin Kelly and Chef de Cuisine Warner Christie, as well as Vernick Fish Chefs Greg Vernick and David Paterniti. Specialty cocktails by Steve & Cookie’s resident Bartender Bruce and Vernick Fish Lead Bartender Jon Bamonte will be presented, with an optional wine pairing to complement the courses. Music featuring piano player Gabe Sacchetti and Chris Sooy will set the ambiance for a beautiful and memorable evening.

The dinner will benefit A Meaningful Purpose at Reed's Farm, Cookie’s non-profit that addresses the needs of food insecurity, soil regeneration, and inclusiveness for the communities that neighbour her restaurant.

“Collaborating on a menu with Steve & Cookie’s – a restaurant I’ve had a lifelong connection to – is a night I look forward to with excitement,” says Greg Vernick, Owner and Executive Chef of Vernick Fish. “Cookie and Chef Kevin operate at the highest level, and I can’t wait to create a special evening for our guests.”

Guests will begin their meal with the traditional Vernick Fish bread service, which includes milk stout sourdough and house whipped nori butter. A selection of items including a raw bar platter featuring East Coast Oysters, Shrimp Cocktail and Fluke Ceviche will be presented, as well as Butter Poached Clams, followed by Fried Oysters over Grilled Romaine. Main dishes will include Potato Gnocchi with Tuna 'nduja topped with saffron breadcrumbs, as well as Fried Lobster Tail and Braised Short Rib. Save room for dessert featuring Carrot Cake Pie and Chocolate Peanut Butter Balls. This summer, Chef Greg and the Vernick Fish team will reunite with Cookie Till for the third annual fundraising farm-to-table dinner at Reed’s Farm benefiting A Meaningful Purpose at Reed’s Farm. About A Meaningful Purpose

A Meaningful Purpose at Reed’s Farm was founded in 2020 as a 501c3 non-profit regenerative farm and animal sanctuary located on 80 acres in Egg Harbor Township, NJ. Reed’s Farm grows food and opportunity. The sanctuary offers a home for farm animals and provides a space for interaction and education.
