Rediscover a Georgetown Classic: Bourbon Steak at Four Seasons Hotel Washington, DC Debuts New Bourbon Lounge Concept in First Major Redesign
Bourbon Steak DC, Chef Michael Mina’s flagship location inside Four Seasons Hotel Washington, DC, recently announced the debut of its newly redesigned Bourbon Lounge, marking the restaurant’s first major renovation since its opening in 2008. The transformation reimagines the lounge from an extension of the main dining room into a distinct standalone experience within Bourbon Steak DC.
“Bourbon Steak has always been about creating memorable experiences around exceptional food, hospitality, and connection,” says Chef Michael Mina. “With the redesigned Lounge, we wanted to create a space that feels relaxed and approachable while still carrying the character and sophistication that guests have come to expect from Bourbon Steak. This is a new chapter for the brand, giving guests another way to experience the concept.”
Drawing inspiration from Georgetown’s historic residential salons—spaces created for gathering, entertaining, and lingering—the redesigned Bourbon Lounge introduces a more intimate setting distinct from the restaurant’s main dining room. The refreshed space features custom furnishings, layered materials, and warm lighting designed to create an inviting atmosphere that transitions from afternoon drinks to evening gatherings.
“Bourbon Steak has long been a gathering place for our guests and the Washington, DC community,” says Marc Bromley, Regional Vice President and General Manager, Four Seasons Hotel Washington, DC. “The refreshed Lounge concept builds on that legacy, creating a new evolution of the Bourbon Steak experience while preserving the sense of connection and hospitality that guests have come to know and love.”
The refreshed beverage program features inventive new signatures, including the Bourbon Steak Rob Roy and Capital City Margarita. Complementing the cocktails is a lineup of elevated bar fare, anchored by Chef Michael Mina's signature Bone Marrow Burger—served on a sesame seed challah bun with caramelized onions, gruyère and cheddar—alongside shareable favourites like truffle popcorn, Wagyu skewers, and lamb kafta “pops.”
Reservations can be made online through OpenTable or by calling the restaurant directly at (202) 944 2026.
