“We invite guests to rejuvenate amid the serene essence of our mountain haven. The Spa is a retreat rooted in the authenticity of our local landscape: its natural elements, community and culture,” says Caitlin Hubbard, Spa Director.

Introducing Sḵwálwen Treatments by Sḵwálwen Botanicals

To further develop the connection with its surroundings, Four Seasons Resort and Residences Whistler proudly introduces a collaboration with Sḵwálwen Botanicals.

Sḵwálwen is an Indigenous skincare line that honours Sk̲wx̲wú7mesh (Squamish) plant knowledge and ancestral First Nations traditions. Using sustainably harvested and sourced organic plants to balance, renew, repair, strengthen, hydrate, and protect the skin, Indigenous founder Leigh Joseph, PhD (whose ancestral name is Styawat) tailors her services through conscious techniques. Each batch of botanical-based products carries the richness and potency of the natural world, without any harsh chemicals.

Featured treatments that utilize the advanced skincare range include the Sacred Space Massage, which encourages reconnection to the outdoors through long, flowing, relaxing strokes, allowing guests to reap the benefits of healing botanicals with the scent of the rainforest guiding them into calm. A foot exfoliation with Wild Rose will be followed by a relaxing full-body massage using Nettle and Arnica Salve, all derived from natural ingredients. The mountain-inspired Sacred Soles Pedicure, begins with a soak in a Wild Rose and Yarrow blend, followed by expert care to the soles, cuticles, and nails. Guests will receive a Cranberry-Rose mask, a soothing plant-based foot and lower leg massage and will finish with polish of the desired colour. In-house guests who opt for a Sḵwálwen treatment not only enjoy a restorative experience but also receive complimentary access to the Squamish Lil'wat Cultural Centre (SLCC) along with engaging and educational guided tours.

The Spa offers guests a peaceful and pensive retreat, emphasizing the vital connection between people and the outside world and encouraging a profound sense of oneness inspired by the surrounding landscapes. Amid the peaks and pines, guests can foster a deep connection with the environment as an essential component for holistic well-being.
