Celebrating Astronomy Through the Local Craftsmanship at Four Seasons Hotel Baku

Following continuous collaboration with Azerkhalcha, a renowned Azerbaijani carpet weaving brand, Four Seasons Hotel Baku is adorning the Hotel Lobby with a spectacular carpet installation specially dedicated to the upcoming International Astronautical Congress (IAC) 2023 to be held in Baku between October 2 and 6, 2023.

Cosmic Traditions

This captivating display celebrates Azerbaijan's rich cultural heritage and the exceptional artistry of Azerbaijani carpet weaving. At the heart of the exhibit stands a meticulously crafted rocketry carpet, showcasing the "Gonaghkend" Guba carpet, which weaves a cosmic narrative through its intricate design, featuring celestial motifs and pyramidal forms that evoke the mysteries of space. This fusion seamlessly connects Azerbaijani culture with the wonders of space. Surrounding the rocketry carpet are three equally exquisite Azerbaijani silk and wool handmade carpets, each a masterpiece in its own right.
