January 23, 2024,
Bangkok, Thailand

Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok at Chao Phraya River welcomes world-renowned pastry chef Antonio Bachour, named the World’s Best Pastry Chef in both 2018 and 2022 by The Best Chef Awards. Hailing from his early days in his family's Puerto Rican bakery, Bachour brings an avant-garde approach to pastry, which will be showcased during a one-of-a-kind afternoon tea and cake shop takeover at Cafe Madeleine. Now based in Miami, Bachour is the mastermind behind the acclaimed Bachour Miami, Bachour Mérida, Tablé Bachour and HABIBI.

Taking place from January 27 to February 18, 2024, Bachour, in collaboration with Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok Executive Pastry Chef Andrea Bonaffini, has meticulously curated a limited-time Afternoon Tea that not only celebrates their culinary prowess but also captures the essence of the upcoming month of love ahead of Valentine’s Day. This unique gastronomic experience will be an extravagant feast for both the eyes and the palate, featuring Bachour’s signature pastries alongside exquisite sweet dishes. In addition to this collaboration, the savoury menu is beautifully designed by Patiwarata Chutiwat, Chef de Cuisine at The Lounge.

The Afternoon Tea promises to be an indulgent journey. From mukrat lime poached in local wild honey with pink pomelo to savoury delicacies such as balik salmon with Parisian chaudfroid and oscietra caviar, the menu is a carefully crafted symphony of flavours. The sweet delicacies include Bachour's iconic rocher with gianduja hazelnuts chocolate; lime tart with almond frangipane; berry shortcake; and the delightful “Sunshine” featuring banana and passionfruit.

In addition to the Afternoon Tea, Bachour will be taking over the Hotel’s patisserie, Cafe Madeleine, showcasing his signature viennoiserie baked goods and mono-portion cakes. The pop-up menu at Cafe Madeleine boasts an array of delectable treats, including the mouthwatering strawberry mascarpone croissant; yuzu coconut cake; hazelnut pain aux raisins; and a variety of mono-portion cakes such as camembert cheesecake, pistachio cake, and the irresistible rocher.
