A native of Manosque, France, Lucas Segati began playing tennis at the age of eight. His passion for the sport was something that drove him later to expand his skills and learn beach tennis, and padel, as well as the traditional game he was first introduced to.
After university in Aix en Provence, France, Lucas began his career in sports and recreation teaching and coaching at tennis clubs throughout France. In 2018, he began instructing at both Hotel Le Phébus & Spa in Joucas and La Bastide in Gordes, before moving overseas to become sports director at Koropa Tennis Club in Mayotte. He returned to France in 2021 as head coach at Tennis Club Volx, later joining Peter Burwash International and moving to French Polynesia as Director of Tennis at Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora.
Lucas speaks English and French. In his spare time, he enjoys soccer, basketball, volleyball, traveling, nature and reading. Not surprisingly, he also enjoys playing beach tennis and padel - in fact, he’s ranked among the top 100 French players in both.
