Born and raised in Papeete, Tahiti, Moananui Lissac’s early travels drove his curiosity for how things work behind the scenes. In particular, he longed to understand how a hotel team comes together to create these magical moments each and every day.
After earning his Law and English degrees in Paris, Moananui returned home to French Polynesia to begin his career in hospitality, thus coming full circle to now solve his childhood curiosities.
From IT Manager and Cost Controller at the Bora Bora Nui Resort to Assistant Front Office Manager at Sheraton Hotel Tahiti, his early jobs in the business gave him a deep base of knowledge, from which he continued to grow on, particularly as Front Office Manager of The St. Regis Bora Bora Resort. In 2010, Lissac joined Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora as Overnight Manager, beginning a 12-year tenure at the acclaimed South Pacific Resort. Here, he held positions across operations, including across the Houskeeping and Rooms divisions, and eventually as Director of Rooms. In 2022, Moana headed north to Four Seasons Resort Oahu at Ko Olina, where he served as Director of Rooms, before returning to Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora as Resort Manager in 2026.
Moananui speaks English and French, and enjoys all things travel, including hiking (including at several U.S. national parks). He and his husband Gregory are also big foodies and are always on the lookout for great dining experiences.
