Being a travel nomad, Ahmed Sami lived in Germany, Italy and Kuwait for years, providing him with the opportunity to be immersed in different cultures and to engage with other nationalities while studying abroad, making it the turning point for his love and passion to pursue a career in hospitality industry.  

He began his career as a tour operator, handling the arrival and departure of Scandinavian guests coming to visit Aswan and Luxor. Shortly after, he followed his passion and started his professional journey as a receptionist. Eager to pursue his career further, he received a diploma in Tourism Management from Capilano college in Vancouver, Canada.  

A Four Seasons person at heart and a passionate hotelier, Ahmed has been a part of the Four Seasons family ever since working as an Assistant Front Office Manager at Four Seasons Cairo at Nile Plaza in 2007 up until 2021 when he took over as the Director of Rooms to the pearl of the Mediterranean Sea, Four Seasons Hotel Alexandria at San Stefano.

Ahmed joined Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at The First Residence in the first quarter of 2023. “I consider myself fortunate to be a part of the First Residence family and connect with the team here, as they instantly made me feel at home,” says Ahmed. Leading a whole team of operations, the spa and guest experience might sound challenging, yet the spirit and oneness of the team makes it a smoother experience for Ahmed.

Leading and connecting are two traits highly appreciated by Ahmed. “When you think of the guest experience you have to consider all aspects of what makes the guest experience outstanding. In that regard, I always ensure that I am always in sync with the front office team, spa, housekeeping team, concierge and the guest experience. They are the catalyst of an exceptional guest experience,” explains Ahmed.

Throughout his life, his wife Heba always stood by his side, along with his two boys Hamza and Adam. A dog lover by heart, considering them a “man’s best friend,” Ahmed enjoys cycling with his German shepherd Rouffes. A heavy sports and football fan, Ahmed supports Al-Ahly club, Barcelona and Liverpool teams.
