Wine Spectator Recognizes Adorn Bar and Restaurant at Four Seasons Hotel Chicago among 2025 Award Winners

Adorn Bar & Restaurant, located on the seventh floor of Four Seasons Hotel Chicago, has been awarded the 2025 Wine Spectator Award of Excellence, an honour recognizing restaurants with thoughtfully curated wine programs that deliver both depth and quality in complementing their cuisine.

Adorn’s wine program features a rotating selection of approximately 350 wines, curated to enhance the restaurant’s contemporary American menu. The list is especially strong in Champagne and California Cabernet, two regions known for producing some of the best wines in the world. These selections underscore the quality, character, and craftsmanship that define Adorn’s approach to wine.

While rooted in an American concept, the list also showcases a diverse mix of unique domestic varietals and classic international wines. The team focuses on sourcing rare, small-production bottles that express a true sense of place, many of which are difficult to find elsewhere, offering guests the opportunity to discover something new and distinctive.

To preserve the integrity of its most highly allocated selections, including rare Bond wines, Adorn utilizes two temperature-controlled cellars: one for whites and another, lightly chilled, for reds. This attention to detail reflects a broader philosophy of excellence and precision across all aspects of service.

Wine service is led by a Level 2 Certified Sommelier, supported by a team of Levels 1, 2 and 3, Sommeliers and experienced hospitality professionals. The team emphasizes guest education, creating an approachable yet elevated experience for both enthusiasts and newcomers.

Presented annually since 1981, the Wine Spectator Restaurant Awards recognize restaurants that offer well-chosen wine lists with a clear theme, professionally presented and supported by knowledgeable staff. The Award of Excellence is presented to recipients who demonstrate exceptional breadth across multiple winegrowing regions and/or notable vertical depth from top producers, all showcased with outstanding presentation.
