Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok Welcomes Renowned Pastry Chef Miquel Guarro for a Limited Time Pop Up and Afternoon Tea
Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok at Chao Phraya River welcomes Miquel Guarro, an internationally celebrated Spanish pastry chef, for an exclusive limited‑time pop‑up and Afternoon Tea. Known for his elegant forms, balanced flavours, and deeply creative approach to modern pastry, Guarro has established himself as one of Spain’s leading contemporary pastry visionaries, with experience spanning Michelin‑starred kitchens, world‑class pastry academies, and global masterclasses.
From February 14 to February 28, 2026, Cafe Madeleine will be transformed into a pop‑up featuring a curated selection of Chef Guarro’s modern pastries and chocolate creations. At the same time through April 30, 2026, The Lounge will present a limited‑edition Afternoon Tea crafted with Executive Pastry Chef Andrea Bonaffini, celebrating innovative craftsmanship, expressive flavours, and refined visual artistry inspired by Spanish culinary traditions.
“Pastry is a craft built on creativity, precision, and emotion. Our Afternoon Tea is designed to surprise and inspire with every bite,” says Chef Guarro. “Working with Miquel has been an inspiring experience. His modern vision and thoughtful balance of flavours bring a new dimension to this Afternoon Tea,” adds Chef Bonaffini.
The Afternoon Tea experience unfolds with a refined selection of savoury creations, featuring Chilled Marcona Almond Soup with grape granita, Red Prawn Toast with calamansi and menton lemon, Joelito Ham with Périgord black truffle, Pan de Tomate, Octopus with fennel and saffron served on pan de cristal, and Chef Guarro’s playful Fake Olives — a contemporary nod to modern Spanish tapas.
The sweet chapter highlights Chef Guarro’s modern pastry identity, led by the signature Sant Jordi Rose — a sculptural creation featuring chocolate sponge, lychee and rose tea jam, and dark chocolate raspberry mousse. Additional highlights include Strawberries and Cream with white chocolate, Sacher with milk chocolate, a Banoffee Tart with milk chocolate, and a Pistachio Sponge with orange blossom and citrus compote.
Chef Miquel Guarro, known for his thoughtful craftsmanship and artistic sensibility, became the youngest pastry chef to win the prestigious Lluís Santapau Trophy, was a pastry chef at the two‑Michelin‑starred Dos Cielos, served as an instructor at Chocolate Academy Barcelona, and led the pastry program at Grupo Hofmann from 2019–2024, elevating it into one of Spain’s most respected pastry destinations. Today, he continues to shape the international pastry scene through masterclasses, collaborations, and his gastronomic consultancy, WeTheFood.
The Cafe Madeleine pop‑up will offer both dine‑in and takeaway options, presenting a curated selection of Chef Guarro’s signature pastries, chocolate confections, and seasonal inspirations.
The Chef Miquel Guarro Afternoon Tea is available daily from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at The Lounge, priced at THB 1,800++ per person. Cafe Madeleine’s pop‑up retail collection is available from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm throughout the collaboration period.
