Nuestro Secreto and Manzanar Unite at Four Seasons Hotel Buenos Aires
From March 17 to 20, Chef Patricia Ramos, who is at the helm of Nuestro Secreto restaurant at the Four Seasons Hotel Buenos Aires, will welcome the team from the Uruguayan restaurant Manzanar 226. Located in the Carrasco neighbourhood of Montevideo, the restaurant ranks No. 86 on the extended list (51–100) of Latin America’s 50 Best Restaurants 2025.
Together with Chefs Vanina Canteros, Natalia Suesca, and Jimena Barbero, Patricia will present an exclusive menu in which embers, open fire, and the use of local ingredients will serve as the guiding thread of a comforting and creative experience in the hotel gardens, beside La Mansión Álzaga Unzué.
Founded by Gustavo Barbero—who in 1992 opened his first restaurant alongside Francis Mallmann in the José Ignacio region—Manzanar is currently led by sisters Jimena and Victoria Barbero. Rooted in the use of local, fresh and organic ingredients, the restaurant’s cuisine—housed in a warehouse-style space in the quiet Carrasco neighbourhood of Montevideo—draws inspiration from fire and wood-fired cooking. Its regular menu features classic dishes and grilled specialties with creative and international touches.
The culinary collaboration will take place at the hotel’s most relaxed dining venue, set in the gardens next to La Mansión Álzaga Unzué, a Belle Époque–style residence dating back to 1920 and part of the hotel complex. Formerly the private home of Elena Peña and Félix de Álzaga Unzué, the three-story property, featuring seven exclusive suites, has welcomed numerous internationally renowned figures. With its steel-and-glass structure flooded with natural light, the restaurant also offers views of the pool and the stone fire pit, where meats are continuously slow-roasted over an open cross.

With a career spanning more than two decades at the Four Seasons Hotel Buenos Aires, Patricia Ramos has established herself as one of the most emblematic figures in Argentine gastronomy. Passionate about fire cooking since childhood, she began her culinary studies immediately after finishing high school.
After years of dedication and experience in various kitchens, she joined Four Seasons Hotel Buenos Aires in 2001 as Chef de Partie and became a key figure within the project. Today, as Chef of Nuestro Secreto Restaurante—a unique space where fire takes centre stage—Patricia blends tradition, passion and creativity to deliver a culinary experience that captures the essence of Argentina’s most traditional flavours.
