From April 15, 2022, Four Season Hotel Chicago invites guests to step into spring with onsite and citywide experiences. The Hotel’s reconceptualised public spaces, illuminated by sleek hues of white marble with slate accents and gold embellishments, will transform into a tranquil indoor oasis hosting lively guest programs such as Botanical High Tea, children’s floral crafts and refreshing cocktail experiences on select afternoons and evenings. For those looking to explore the city’s crisp spring weather and seasonal excursions, the Concierge team has custom recommendations tailored for each guest including complimentary bike rentals exclusive for Hotel patrons.

Spring Has Sprung in the Social Lounge

On select weekends from April 15, 2022, guests will delight in a seasonal High Tea featuring spring flavours and floral finesse crafted by Executive Pastry Chef Juan Gutierrez and Executive Chef Tristan Baker. Among savoury selections, Chef Baker presents a new twist on PB & J: pear, brie and jamon alongside a refreshing Piquillo Pepper Roulade with cream cheese, pepper relish and amaranth. Displaying his “Best-In-Class” Netflix School of Chocolate skills, Chef Gutierrez’s Malted Chocolate Bombe is not to be missed, while his Strawberry Delight is a true celebration of spring’s bounty, highlighting the fruit in three ways sitting atop a vanilla sable. Steeped in the art of the draw, tea service boasts more than twenty-five of the finest varietals from Chicago-based tea aficionados Rare Tea Cellar.

For guests ready to revel in a spirited seasonal reawakening, the Social Lounge transforms once again, enlivening evening weekend plans with an unexpected cocktail experience in partnership with Ketel One. Through May 28, 2022, guests can sip on fresh floral-infused libations starring Ketel One Botanical and featured light fare from Chef Jonathon Sawyer including Antonius Caviar service. From dry-ice spritzes to rosebud ice cube creations, the six-week effervescent experience transports guests to a spring sanctuary just above the iconic Michigan Avenue hub.

Pop-Up Pastry Boutique from Executive Pastry Chef Juan Gutierrez

Off the heels of his Netflix confectionary competition win, Pastry Chef and Chocolatier Juan Gutierrez launches a bonbon collection and pop-up boutique just in time for Easter and Mother’s Day. After taking home top marks and being named “Best in Class” on Netflix's School of Chocolate, Gutierrez will unveil his brand-new collection of handmade chocolate bonbons and select pastries this month. Taking inspiration from his Colombian roots with flavours such as the malted milk featured in his Milo bonbon reminiscent of one of his favourite drinks as a child, Chef Juan’s other mouth-watering flavours include Café Con Leche, Passionfruit Cheesecake, Pistachio and Peanut Butter and Jelly.

Tucked into the chic lobby on the seventh floor of the Hotel, the exclusive boutique opens its doors on Friday, April 15, 2022 with pre-orders available from Friday, April 8 at 10:00 am. The seasonal Pop-Up Pastry Boutique will be open 10:00 am to 4:00 pm Saturdays and Sundays, showcasing a stunning array of chocolate bonbons along with other handmade candies, caramels, pastries and baked goods.

A Refreshed Easter Holiday Experience

While the Hotel’s newly redesigned suites and public spaces beckon guests to relax and unwind in the comfort of time spent with loved ones, families are invited to scoop up their baskets from Concierge and hop into Easter festivities with an interactive Easter Egg Hunt from 9:00 am on the seventh floor. The completely renovated restaurant and lake-facing junior ballroom are brimming with Easter merriment, live musical performances and culinary creativity where guests will discover new flavours and seasonal fancies at the Japanese-inspired Cherry Blossom Easter Brunch. Celebrating the holiday with a lush springtime brunch spread featuring the bright and refreshing cuisine of Japan, the Hotel’s culinary team will showcase multiple options at chef-led stations. Cherish moments spent together while creating new memories at the Mad Hatter Mother's Day Brunch, where mothers are greeted with fresh-cut floral arrangements of their choice. Packed with whimsy, brunch features a topsy turvy afternoon tea table filled with delectable tea sandwiches fit for a Queen (of Hearts). From traditional English breakfast and afternoon tea specialties to a classic Sunday roast, this brilliantly British-inspired spread has something for the whole family. To round out the storybook specialties, Executive Pastry Chef Juan Gutierrez presents his treats from his Netflix show, School of Chocolate. "The Moon" dessert crafted with love from childhood memories of his mother will be available for pre-order or brunch add-on. With rose raspberry petit gateaux, the dessert is complete with ladybug bonbons, opera cake, berry terrine, pistachio cake, and vanilla sponge.
