Set along lava-carved shores where golden sunsets meet the Pacific, Four Seasons Resort Hualalai, a two-Michelin key and Forbes Five-Star resort on Hawaii's Big Island, invites guests of all ages to discover the magic of the festive season, unique to the Kona-Kohala Coast. This year's celebration blends cherished traditions with new discoveries, uniting culinary artistry, outdoor adventure, and authentic island culture in one extraordinary oceanfront setting. With effortless access from the USA mainland, including new seasonal flights from Salt Lake City and Dallas, and an unmatched blend of wellness, dining, and exploration, Hualalai is the ultimate winter escape where the festive spirit of aloha shines bright.

“The festive season at Hualalai is about connection – families gathering, traditions rekindled, and new memories made against the backdrop of the Big Island," says Charlie Parker, Regional Vice President and General Manager of Four Seasons Resort Hualalai. "Our team has designed every experience with intention: from keiki crafting with Santa to stargazing atop Mauna Kea. This is where celebration meets the true spirit of aloha."

This festive season, guests are invited to experience an intentionally curated calendar of celebrations for all ages. Holiday highlights include a specialty, kid-centric crafting workshop and visit from Santa on Christmas Eve, followed by a festive holiday dinner buffet at Beach Tree Restaurant on Christmas Day. The Resort will also offer a nightly menorah lighting in the lobby from December 14 to 22, 2025, to celebrate the Festival of Lights. For New Year’s Eve, the Resort will activate several themed parties including a Keiki Party at Kids For All Seasons and Pearls of the Pacific Gala under the stars for adults. An after-party will follow at Beach Tree inviting guests to welcome in the New Year with a midnight countdown and fireworks show over the ocean.

Festive season also brings the return of beloved family-centric programming throughout December. Guests can enjoy movie nights under the stars at the Hoku Amphitheatre, themed nights spanning magic, science, and culinary challenges, and a robust schedule of art classes to create traditional Hawaiian lei, ceramics, jewellery and more. A seasonal favourite, children aged 9 to 18 can embark on unforgettable adventures with Camp Manitou. The celebrated adventure camp schedules off-site explorations to storied attractions such as Mauna Kea for stargazing, or the Hawaii Volcano National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site, for overnight trips.

Culinary excellence continues to define the Hualalai experience, with five distinct dining venues capturing the flavours of Hawaii. The newest to join the collection is NOIO, a sushi lounge and omakase dining experience perched atop the recently reimagined, ULU. Led by Senior Executive Chef Richard Polhemus, the oceanfront ULU is a celebration of the bounty of Hawaii with 75 percent of all ingredients sourced locally on the island. Other favourites include the indulgent Miller and Lux Hualalai, a Big Island iteration of Chef Tyler Florence’s famed San Francisco steakhouse, and Beach Tree Restaurant, which circles the waterfront tree at the heart of the Resort that is its namesake. The festive season will also bring culinary-focused programming including the inaugural Taste of the Islands event, a Sake and Sunset oyster tasting experience, Paniolo Ohana Dinner in the garden, a smash burger cook-out with Chef Tyler Florence and more. Specialty experiences such as private dinners under the stars or oceanfront picnics are also available.

Welcoming guests to stay active and take in the breathtaking island scenery, Four Seasons Resort Hualalai offers an 18-hole Jack Nicklaus-signature course that contrasts its bright-green fairways with historic black lava rock; a state-of-the-art gym designed by Harley Pasternak; sprawling tennis and pickleball facilities; the award-winning Hualalai Spa; and a cutting edge golf practice facility ideal for both perfecting the game and enjoying family fun. Making the game of golf more approachable, families and individuals can participate in a series of activations including a Keiki Long Drive Competition and an after-dark Par 3 and Pizza Night Glow game. The Resort will also welcome back celebrated fitness instructor Harley Pasternak for a series of clinics over the holiday week; host its second Annual Pickleball Tournament, complete with a DJ, and a Whispering Angel Rosé bar; and lead a resort-wide Jingle Bell 5K (3.1 miles) Run on Christmas Eve.

Beyond its festive programming, Four Seasons Resort Hualalai opens a world of adventure and exploration where guests can discover the beauty of the Kona-Kohala coast. A private catamaran offers offshore trips for snorkelling, scuba diving, and deep-sea fishing, as well as a prime locale for experiencing the majesty of whale-watching season. For adventures beyond the water, soar above volcanic peaks and lush landscapes on a private helicopter tour, or indulge in one of the resort’s signature Only at Hualalai experiences, curated to deliver once-in-a-lifetime memories from the guidance of local island experts and craftsmen.

Four Seasons Resort Hualalai offers an array of accommodations for couples and families, including a collection of specialty suites with curated in-room programming and three exceptional villas – the Hawaii Loa Presidential Villa, Makaloa Villa and Ho’onanea Villa, which are among the largest stand-alone villa offerings on the island.
