Encore! Champagne Domes Return to Four Seasons Hotel Kyoto

Four Seasons Hotel Kyoto announces the return of the city’s most unique wintertime venue. Situated by the 800-year-old pond garden, the Champagne Domes are set to reappear on December 18, 2021.

Inspired by the Japanese tradition of kamakura (snow huts), the transparent glass domes offer a unique experience in the city, available only at Four Seasons. Warmed by heather and fluffy sheepskin rugs, each private wonderland allows guests to enjoy stunning winter landscapes in cosy comfort.

Perched on the open-air terrace of The Brasserie, the gleaming domes gaze out at Shakusui-en, the Hotel’s picturesque pond garden. Dating back the Heian Period, it is believed to be the villa garden of Shigemori Taira (Lord Komatsu), the eldest son of the 12th-century samurai Kiyomori Taira. As darkness falls, glimmering lights flicker to life, creating an atmospheric allure.

Available daily until April 10, 2022 between 11:30 am and 9:00 pm, the Champagne Domes offer a magical setting for romantic dates, intimate family gatherings, and memorable moments with friends.

Groups of up to five can enjoy the Champagne Package, secluded in their very own dome. This 90-minute experience features a limitless free flow of Perrier-Jouët Champagne, wines and cocktails, including two special Valentine’s cocktails from January 24 to February 14, 2022. Also included is a platter of creative canapés by Chef Ryuji Koga.

This winter, the Champagne Dome will also host Seasonal Afternoon Tea with Champagne. Enjoy a curation of delicate sweets and fine savouries, with a glass of Perrier-Jouët Grand Brut to lend an extra sparkle.

Afternoon Tea Package: JPY 12,650 per person

This Afternoon Tea promotion will not be available between December 26, 2021 and January 5, 2022.

The Champagne Dome is one of only two such installations in Japan. Time slows down within its curved walls, inviting guests to savour each sip and bite, framed by the poetic winter beauty of Kyoto.
