CURA Restaurant at Four Seasons Hotel Ritz Lisbon Hosts an Exclusive Wine Dinner with CARM to Kick Off 2025 Series
CURA Restaurant at Four Seasons Hotel Ritz Lisbon announces the launch of its 2025 wine dinners, starting with an exclusive event in collaboration with one of its key wine producers and suppliers, CARM (Casa Agrícola Roboredo Madeira). This unforgettable evening will take place on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, featuring a meticulously crafted 10-course tasting menu paired with six exceptional wines from CARM's portfolio.
After the pause of "Dry January" for many, this event celebrates the return to indulgence, pairing seasonal flavours from CURA's kitchen with a carefully curated selection of white wines, such as Carm Rabigato 2023, Carm Grande Reserva Branco 2022, and Carm Porto Vintage 2008. The lineup includes notable monocasts such as Códega do Larinho, Rabigato, and Gouveio, as well as CARM's Grande Reserva Branco and Grande Reserva Tinto.
CURA’s deep commitment to sustainability perfectly aligns with CARM’s eco-conscious wine production practices, a synergy that has been at the heart of their partnership since the restaurant’s foundation. "Our focus on sustainability has always been paramount, and the same is true for CARM – something I’ve witnessed personally during my visit to their vineyards,” explains David Lopes, CURA’s sommelier. This shared vision is reflected not only in CURA’s wine list, which always features two of CARM’s standout red wines – CARM Natural and Maria de Lourdes – but also in the restaurant’s décor, highlighted by a decorative wine bottle wall dedicated to CARM. "It only felt natural to collaborate with them to kick off our wine dinner series," Lopes adds.
From the gastronomic side, an extraordinary 10-moment tasting menu was designed to complement the wines, offering guests a truly immersive gastronomic experience. One highlight of the menu will be John Dory, Goa curry, green beans, goose barnacles and halophytes, a dish that promises to elevate the evening to new heights.
Priced at EUR 310 per person, the evening includes a welcome drink and the opportunity to engage directly with the people behind the wines. Filipe Roboredo Madeira, Head of Oenology, Marketing and Sales at CARM will join CURA team to guide attendees through the pairings and share the stories behind each wine.
“This dinner represents everything we stand for – exceptional food, exquisite wine, and meaningful collaborations. It’s set to be an unforgettable evening,” says Guilherme Costa, the Hotel’s General Manager.
On the CARM side, Filipe Roboredo Madeira comments: "It is a great pleasure to accept the invite from CURA’s team for this CARM wine dinner at Cura. CARM's mission is to strengthen its position as a premium producer of Douro Superior wines and olive oils. There could be no better way to start the year than with this dinner, organised in one of the best restaurants in the country, at a hotel that sets the benchmark for hospitality in Portugal.”
The CURA x CARM Wine Dinner will set the tone for a series of similar events planned for 2025, showcasing partnerships with distinguished producers and bringing the best of food and wine to CURA’s guests.
Join CURA for a night of culinary excellence, sustainable practices, and exquisite wine.

About CARM
CARM is a company that is still entirely owned by the family that launched its activity, with records dating back to the mid-17th century. The agricultural operation has always been focused in the region where the Douro River begins its course exclusively in Portuguese territory. This is also where the oldest demarcated wine region begins – the Demarcated Douro and Port Wine Region.
Its goal has always been to produce high quality olive oils and wines, using only olives and grapes from its estates, with approximately 60 hectares of almond, 220 hectares of olive groves and 200 hectares of vineyards located around the village of Almendra, in the best part of the Upper Douro, included in the Côa Valley Archaeological Reserve.
