Announced on June 20, 2023 in Valencia, Spain, the World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2023 list has awarded a coveted spot to SÉZANNE, the signature French restaurant at Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Marunouchi.

Debuting at #37 on the prestigious list, SÉZANNE continues to make its presence felt on the global culinary stage. Earlier this year, the restaurant was ranked #2 among Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants 2023. It also earned its second Michelin star in late 2022.

“We are delighted to be named among the World’s 50 Best Restaurants. Thank you to our guests from Japan and around the world for their continued support,” says Chef Daniel Calvert, who attended the ceremony in Valencia and received the award on behalf of the restaurant.

Led by the singular vision and meticulous craftsmanship of Daniel, SÉZANNE serves classically rooted modern French cuisine, crafted with a light touch and plated with precision.

“We are thrilled for the team at SÉZANNE. This accolade is a testament to their unwavering dedication towards creating exceptional dining experiences for each guest,” says Charles Fisher, General Manager of Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Marunouchi.

Dynamic French Dining in the Heart of Tokyo

Gently rising above the centre of downtown Tokyo, SÉZANNE offers modern French cuisine, featuring an array of fine ingredients sourced from across Japan. Standouts range from escabeche of lightly smoked mackerel to gamecock marinated in vin jaune, Chef Daniel’s take on Shanghai drunken chicken.

There is always something new for diners to discover here, with seasonally updated degustation menus and a repertoire of exquisitely balanced desserts. The cuisine is complemented by an eclectic collection of Champagne, wine and sake, curated by Sommelier Nobuhide Otsuka. As a Krug Ambassador, SÉZANNE is one of the few restaurants in the world where patrons can sip the exclusive Champagnes of Maison Krug.

Envisioned by acclaimed designer Andre Fu, the interiors speak a language of relaxed luxury, weaving fine French craftsmanship with subtle Japanese elements. The show kitchen offers tantalizing glimpses of the cooking journey, while the Chef’s Table invites guests to experience SÉZANNE’s orchestra-like culinary performance first hand.
