Located at the intersection of Southern Italian cuisine and Southern hospitality is Mimo Restaurant and Bar, the flagship restaurant of Four Seasons Hotel and Private Residences Nashville. Led by Executive Restaurant Chef Aniello “Nello” Turco, Mimo is named for the Italian mockingbird that sings late into the evening and is a twofold nod to the restaurant’s energy and the state bird of Tennessee. Mimo is an experience that beckons guests to never leave and keeps them coming back for more.

“Our energy is Southern energy. Mimo is warm, it is lively, and it is comforting,” Chef Nello says. “The evolving food feast at Mimo is designed to keep guests constantly curious about the latest item to hit the menu. There is always something new to try – something they have not yet experienced.”

Mimo is led by a world-class Michelin star chef – a rising superstar in the industry – but in step with Chef Nello’s vision of quintessential Southern living, there are no white tablecloths or hushed voices in sight. Instead, Mimo matches the energy of Music City and is brimming with hospitality.

“The atmosphere at Mimo immerses you in the warmth of Southern gentility,” Chef Nello adds. “Every day, the room is filled with laughter of family and friends – old and new alike. And the food is a comfort one can only find here.”

Upon entry, guests are greeted with the sounds of local artists from all parts of the city, generating an atmosphere that is constantly changing but ever inviting. While waiting for a table, the city’s newest neighbourhood bar is ready to serve a craft cocktail made with local ingredients conceptualized by lead mixologist and bar manager Michael Geffin.

Mimo is a place where all are invited to celebrate life’s biggest milestones with the best libations, unparalleled culinary offerings, and a staff eager to serve everyone to their heart’s content.

“From the moment people enter Mimo, they feel cool and comfortable,” says Chef Nello “This is a dining experience that is all new to Nashville, and we have the privilege of creating that experience for them. Birthdays, engagements, anniversaries – you name it. Mimo is where memories are created and celebrated.”

Once seated, servers guide guests through the menu to build a course-by-course journey that is the perfect synergy between Chef Nello’s Southern Italian heritage and local Southern influence.

“Our servers ask questions like ‘how do you feel’ or ‘what do you feel like eating’ then we create it,” Chef Nello says with a laugh. “It sounds simple, but that’s why we are here – to provide comfort through the gift of a sensational meal.”

The main centrepiece of each table is mouthwatering homemade sourdough bread and plenty of it to go around. Sharables sides and delectable entrées overrun the tables until they are replaced with rich desserts and savoury wine.

In the endless pursuit to provide a perfect Southern Italian meal, Mimo Restaurant and Bar invites guests to become one of their own.

“Mimo is everyone’s first and last stop – a gateway to all-new luxury in Music City and all are welcome to experience it,” Chef Nello says.
