Harvest and splash in a paddy field. Inspire a passion for the marine world. Strengthen mind and body with energetic Muay Thai. Bake and roll (rice paper) with expert tuition.

At Four Seasons Resorts of Asia, kids aren’t an afterthought. The resorts offer a series of well-designed activities for both teenagers and young children to connect with Asia’s vibrant culture and thoughtful experiences. A dedicated Kids Club at each location and an exceptional team ensure that each experience is fun, enriching and safe.

“We are dedicated to Kids For All Seasons. This is one of the reasons so many families return to our resorts year-after-year. With the world evolving and schools going virtual, we are excited to offer families the opportunity to dive into authentic local experiences in Asia where children can experience immersive learning from rice fields, the open ocean, to mangrove jungles and cooking schools,” shares Rainer Stampfer, President, Hotel Operations – Asia Pacific, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts.

Culture Vulture

With its very own working rice fields, Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai kids can learn about the fascinating journey of rice and experience first-hand the hard work that goes into farming from a dedicated team. Along the way, they also get to meet the resort’s famous resident buffaloes. Needless to say, splashing around in the paddy fields and bathing the buffaloes is a fun learning experience!

Active Mind and Body

At Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Kuda Huraa, little spa goers as young as 6 will love the excitement of boarding a traditional dhoni boat for a short sail to The Island Spa – a marine inspired haven where dedicated kids’ treatments include miracle shells, nourishing seaweeds, oil blending, and yoga on land and at sea.

Designed for children between 4 and 15 years of age, the energy-packed Muay Thai lessons at Four Seasons Resort Koh Samui include games to keep children focused, active, attentive, while enjoying their time in the Resort's hill-top Muay Thai training ring. Besides learning the basics of Muay Thai techniques, it also helps kids develop flexibility, strength and coordination.

The private rafting experience at Four Seasons Resort Bali at Sayan is suitable for children aged 7 and above, and is as scenic as it is fun. The two-hour journey is a leisurely ride through Class III rapids, and there’s even a part where rafters can hop out and float down the river on their backs. The tour conveniently lands directly at the Resort’s Riverside Pool, where a hearty lunch awaits.

Little Chefs

Speaking of meals, The Nam Hai Cooking Academy at Four Seasons Resort The Nam Hai, Hoi An runs private classes for families as well as daily complimentary junior experiences where aspiring little chefs can learn new skills from rolling rice paper to baking cookies under the tutelage of some of the country’s best chefs.

Beachcombing

The Passport to Adventure program at Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Landaa Giraavaru makes everybody want to be a kid again. Comprising eight daily activities from Coral Reefscaping to a Snorkel Adventure, Wishing Tree Walks to Dosha Discovery and Lizard Spotting, it introduces children to the island’s extraordinary natural wonders and inspires a passion for adventure, discovery and conservation.

For something closer to the shore, a 39 foot (12-metre) natural limestone outcrop at Four Seasons Resort Langkawi provides the perfect spot for rock-climbing and abseiling for children five and above, who can scramble up to a height of 16 feet (5 metres) while older children will enjoy the thrill of using a bow and arrow at the archery range. For the adventurous, a cruise down the river of Kilim Karst Geoforest Park, a mangrove jungle, guarantees a meeting with majestic eagles, mischievous monkeys, and prehistoric fish that “walk."

Exclusive to Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay, families can upgrade their sand castle skills with a sand art lesson, a new addition to the complimentary Kids Club program. Sand art classes were launched at the Resort following an exhibition by Japanese sand sculptor Toshihiko Hosaka, who ran workshops for the Resort’s staff so they could continue to share this natural and fun art form with guests.
