Ty Bar Presents Barrel-Aged Cocktails at Four Seasons Hotel New York

Ty Bar at Four Seasons Hotel New York is the place to “be seen” in New York City. It attracts the most important guests from around the world to hold the most important conversations. Cocktail aficionados alike gather in this art-deco inspired space to get a taste of its exclusive collection of spirits and innovative cocktails. This season, guests are invited to experience new barrel-aged cocktails crafted by Bar Manager Craig Joseph.

The art and science of barrel-ageing has now been brought to Ty Bar. These new cocktails are aged for 60 days in American oak. This new offering is complete with six cocktails including The Vesper Martini and an Old-Fashioned. Featuring fine ingredients, The Rob Roy is made with J&B Blended scotch, Punt e Mes vermouth and Angostura bitters; and The Sidecar features Tesseron Composition cognac, lemon juice and Cointreau. The American oak achieves two effects: it slowly introduces oxygen to the spirit with the natural flavours of the wood and it imbues the spirit with wooden flavours. While guests enjoy the cocktails, they are invited to pair them with the bar’s signature bites such as the Korean beef tacos, prime sirloin sliders, Ōra King salmon skewers and shitake mushroom spring rolls.
