Dubai, U.A.E.

For Federico Giovine, hospitality has never been just a job, but a lifelong discovery of culture, people, and purpose. A third-generation hotelier from Buenos Aires, he began his Four Seasons journey in 2005 as a telephone operator at Four Seasons Hotel Buenos Aires. Two decades later, with a career spanning seven destinations across Europe, the Middle East, the Indian Ocean and South America, he steps into his new role as Hotel Manager of Four Seasons Hotel Dubai International Financial Centre with a perspective shaped by experience and fuelled by passion.

“What we are, and what differentiates us, is our culture, our people. It is the real asset we have. The company is alive through these individuals,” says Giovine, who believes that the essence of hospitality lies in building an environment where teams feel a deep sense of belonging and guests sense something beyond service: a culture alive in every interaction.

Federico’s career has been defined by breadth and distinction, with postings at numerous Four Seasons properties including Four Seasons Hotel Gresham Palace Budapest; Four Seasons Hotel Ritz Lisbon; Four Seasons Hotel Prague; Four Seasons Resort Seychelles; Four Seasons Hotel Hampshire; and both Four Seasons properties in Dubai. Before his appointment in Dubai, he led at the landmark Gresham Palace in Budapest, an experience that honed his ability to balance heritage with forward-thinking hospitality. His philosophy is rooted in leading by example, inspired by advice he once received from a mentor: “If you want to pay me back, support others.”

Fluent in Spanish, Portuguese and English, Federico brings a global fluency matched by two decades of hands-on operational mastery. Having led teams across landmark city hotels and remote resort destinations, he is known for uniting precision with empathy and balancing the demands of excellence with an instinctive understanding of people. “If we are able to create a true sense of belonging in our teams, raising the bar is a lot more feasible, fun and exciting,” he says.

Although destined for hospitality by family heritage, Federico did not initially plan this career path. It was during his time at a family property in Buenos Aires that he fell in love with the dynamic, ever-changing world of hotels, a passion that led him to Four Seasons, his Premier League of the industry. Twenty years later, his commitment to the brand remains as strong as ever: “More than anything else, I’m a hotelier. I believe in it. I enjoy it.”

Looking back, he reflects on his journey with gratitude. “Buenos Aires, where I come from and where I started, is an amazing city. Seychelles is a beautiful island and working in a remote location was a new type of challenge. Prague, my first experience on the eastern side of Europe, was astonishing. From there I moved to Lisbon, then to the UK, then to Dubai, then to Budapest. I’ve been very lucky and I’m so happy to return to Dubai and to continue my journey here in this new chapter as Hotel Manager of Four Seasons Hotel Dubai International Financial Centre.”
