Song at Four Seasons Hotel Hangzhou at Hangzhou Centre Shines with Second Consecutive One Michelin Star Honour
With the official release of the Michelin Guide Shanghai–Jiangsu–Zhejiang 2026, Chinese Restaurant Song at Four Seasons Hotel Hangzhou at Hangzhou Centre has once again been awarded one Michelin star. Rooted in Ningbo flavours — a distinctive expression of Zhejiang regional cuisine — Song continues to write a new chapter of gastronomic excellence, where the culinary heritage of Jiangnan meets the bounty of the East China Sea, all presented within an innovative elevated setting.
"We are truly honoured to receive Michelin Guide's recognition for the second year," says Neal Zeng, Executive Chinese Chef. "At Song, our culinary philosophy is built upon the savoury-meets-umami balance characteristic of Ningbo cuisine. We follow the seasons, selecting the fresh catch from the East China Sea and the fine local ingredients from Jiangsu and Zhejiang. Through creative techniques and a contemporary aesthetic, Song strives to offer an authentic yet re-imagined dining experience. This accolade belongs to our passionate team, and we are deeply grateful to our guests for their continued support."
Located on the eighth floor of Four Seasons Hotel Hangzhou at Hangzhou Centre, Song is a masterwork of contemporary Eastern aesthetics by internationally renowned design firm AB Concept. The space features fresh, gentle green stones, poetic Jiangnan elements, an exquisite garden terrace, an open kitchen, and bespoke floral arrangements — all coming together to create a serene and elegant dining environment. Paired with Four Seasons signature genuine service and a thoughtful selection of teas and wines, Song offers a truly distinctive culinary journey.
Signature Chef's Recommendations
- Marinated Crab, Ginger, Vinegar, Soy Sauce, Liquor – Premium white crab from the East China Sea is precisely cut into eighteen pieces. The traditional marinade is subtly lightened in saltiness, while warm notes of ginger and white pepper add a refreshing complexity — a refined contemporary interpretation of Ningbo cuisine.
- Steamed White Pomfret, Rice Wine Marinated Pork Rib, Minced Pork – Classic Ningbo-style fermented rice lends its elegant, aromatic depth to this delicately steamed dish. The natural freshness of the seafood and the mellow fragrance of fermentation unfold in layered harmony.
- Crispy Pigeon Leg, Sichuan Pepper – A proprietary crisping technique yields an irresistibly crackling exterior, while the meat remains succulent and tender. The subtle, aromatic spiciness of Dahongpao Sichuan pepper brings a refined balance to the rich flavours.
“Passages of Spring” Seasonal Recommendations
Chef Neal Zeng captures the essence of the East China Sea and the flavours of Jiangnan, bringing the season's fresh treasures to the table. From March 21 to May 15, 2026, Song presents "Passages of Spring," a seasonal culinary journey.
- Soy-braised Fresh Abalone, Preserved Vegetable – The crisp freshness of spring bamboo meets the savoury depth of oil-marinated abalone, where sea and land complement each other in perfect harmony.
- Marinated Mackerel, Wild Chive Sauce – Seasonal East China Sea mackerel is enhanced with a fragrant leek sauce, expressing the warm, savoury-yet-umami character of a Jiangnan spring.
