Peter Houston joins the team at Four Seasons Resort and Residences Jackson Hole as Resort Manager, trading in the vineyards of Napa Valley for rugged mountain peaks. Houston brings extensive hospitality experience to his new role, arriving as the property prepares for a bustling winter season.

“Having grown up in the mountains, I was thrilled by the chance to join Four Seasons at this iconic property in Jackson Hole,” says Houston. “This move is exciting for me professionally, but also personally. I can’t wait to explore this beautiful area with my family, teach my daughters how to ski, venture into the National Parks, and take our dog Millie out to explore.”

Houston’s most recent appointment was as director of rooms at Solage, Auberge Resorts Collection, in Napa Valley. In this capacity, he directed the implementation of key capital projects to improve the guest and employee experience. He also helped foster a positive culture to deliver excellence.

A native of northern California, Houston grew up primarily in Utah and Colorado, and began his hospitality career working at the Fairmont Franz Klammer Lodge in Telluride during high school. After getting his degree in Hospitality Management from the University of San Francisco, Houston spent the next 10 years growing his career with Fairmont, working at Heritage Place, Chateau Whistler, Waterfront Hotel and the Claremont Club & Spa. During this time, Houston gained experience leading teams in the front office, housekeeping, guest relations and residential associations.

Growing up in the mountains of Park City and Telluride, Houston is a lifelong outdoorsman. He learned to ski with his dad as a toddler, and later enjoyed competitive ski racing. When the snow melted, he turned to his other passion – baseball – and even played briefly in college. In Jackson Hole, Houston will reside with his wife, Jennifer, and their twin 3-year-old daughters, Audrey and Harper.
