With many years of experience with Four Seasons, Vishal Sanadhya brings a well-honed approach for service excellence to his role as Hotel Manager at Four Seasons Hotel Jakarta. Under his capable leadership, the team crafts and delivers highly curated guest experiences with heartfelt warmth and impeccable attention to detail.

“Personalization is in the DNA of Four Seasons, especially at a boutique gem like our Jakarta property,” says Vishal. “What really sets us apart is our custom-made stays for families, couples and business travellers alike.”

Born in Udaipur, one of the biggest tourist destinations in India, Vishal was enthralled when he had his first encounter with luxury hospitality during a visit to Taj Lake Palace, the top luxury hotel in the city. “I was amazed by what I saw and experienced,” he says. “Servers were bustling through the place, entertaining guests. The luxury decor, the exquisite food … I still remember it like it was yesterday.”

When it came time to choose what he would study at university, Vishal originally thought he would become an engineer. But his father encouraged him to explore hotel management instead. After careful consideration, he chose to major in hospitality. It was to prove an excellent choice, and marked the beginning of a successful career in the industry.

Starting out as a banquet server at a five-star hotel in Mumbai, Vishal soon received the opportunity to join the Food and Beverage team at the newly-opened Four Seasons Hotel Mumbai. After gaining valuable experience there, he went on to support several Four Seasons properties in other locations, taking on task force assignments in the Maldives, Singapore and Bangkok.

In 2014, he moved to Beijing, followed by Bangkok in 2019 where he joined the pre-opening team for Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok at Chao Phraya River. Under his leadership as Director of Food and Beverage, the team created an award-winning restaurant and bar program, garnering both a Michelin star and a ranking on the World’s 50 Best Bars list.

Now in Jakarta, Vishal is on a mission to strengthen ties with the local community, while simultaneously showcasing a new side of Indonesia for international guests. “I see our Hotel as a stage for social theatre, where global visitors and local residents can come together to connect, mingle and share the joy of discovery,” he explains.

As a leader, Vishal is a big believer in the power of why: “When team members know the big picture and understand the reasoning behind their responsibilities, they feel inspired to go above and beyond. That’s why it’s important to share the why, not just the what.”

During his leisure time, Vishal enjoys listening to vinyls, with more than 170 records in his collection. He also loves to explore the local culinary scene, from street food markets to acclaimed restaurants and bars. A self-confessed gastro tourist, he designs vacations around his food bucket list and is perpetually on the hunt for the best Negroni in town.
