Four Seasons Hotel The Westcliff Johannesburg announces the opening of its Grand Ballroom, a destination for celebration, connection and curation set high above the city with panoramic views of Johannesburg’s urban forest and skyline. Uniquely positioned, the venue pairs effortless motorway access and ample parking with the exceptional service for which Four Seasons is renowned.

Purpose‑built for landmark occasions, the Grand Ballroom hosts up to 400 guests for seated gala dinners and large‑scale celebrations and can be elegantly divided into three self‑contained salons for concurrent sessions or more intimate gatherings. The space flexes to accommodate weddings, awards, corporate conferences, exhibitions, product showcases and refined receptions. Engineered with dedicated drive‑in access, it also enables dramatic automotive launches and large installations without compromising guest flow.

The elevated experience extends beyond the main room. A generous pre‑function lobby leads to a broad terrace that frames the city’s sweeping vistas, while two landscaped garden spaces provide idyllic settings for ceremonies, cocktail hours and photography. Combined with the hotel’s existing 12 private venues, the Grand Ballroom ensures Four Seasons offers a complete events campus on the Westcliff ridge.

Design highlights draw on Johannesburg’s mining legacy, expressed through metallic accents, natural stone and textured finishes. A custom hand‑illustrated jacaranda wallpaper by Waldman Studios (printed by Fabric Bank) brings the Westcliff urban forest outlook indoors; vintage chandeliers with overlapping glass leaves cast a soft, whimsical glow; and classic checkerboard marble floors in warm browns and creams harmonise with botanical patterned carpets. Natural daylight layered accent lighting and thoughtful décor create an atmosphere of effortless elegance.
