Originally from Johannesburg, Brenda Magome returns to her home city with a career that spans some of Africa’s most respected spa and wellness destinations. Her journey began at treatment-room level, where she developed a deep, practical understanding of the craft, before progressing into senior training, consulting and leadership roles.
One of the most defining chapters of her career was her tenure as head of spas and wellness Centres at Singita Serengeti from 2012 to 2016, where she played a central role in shaping one of the continent’s most admired safari wellness experiences. From there, she went on to found and lead the Mandala Wellness Group in Tanzania, building it into an internationally recognised destination spa brand.
Under Brenda’s leadership, Mandala Wellness Group received multiple international accolades, including World Spa Awards’ Tanzania’s Best Day Spa for three consecutive years from 2021 to 2023 and Africa’s Best Day Spa in 2020. These achievements reflect not only her technical expertise, but her ability to build teams, standards and experiences that endure.
