As the year draws to a close, Four Seasons properties in Thailand welcome travellers to embrace the festive season, where timeless traditions, meaningful connections and unforgettable moments unfold across some of Thailand’s most captivating landscapes.

Jasjit Assi, General Manager, Four Seasons Resort Koh Samui shares, “The festive season is a time to come together, celebrate cherished traditions, and create meaningful moments with loved ones. We invite you to experience the warmth of Thai hospitality, thoughtfully curated dining experiences, and the spirit of the season across our extraordinary destinations.”

From the mist-covered mountains of Chiang Mai and the untamed wilderness of the Golden Triangle to the tropical shores of Koh Samui, each destination offers a distinctive expression of celebration shaped by its surroundings. Beginning with Loy Krathong, Thailand’s cherished Festival of Lights, and continuing through Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Eve, the festive season at Four Seasons brings together authentic local traditions, exceptional dining, immersive cultural experiences and the warmth of genuine Thai hospitality.

Every celebration reflects the unique spirit of its setting, inviting guests to discover the flavours, traditions and natural beauty that make each destination extraordinary.

Festival of Lights in Northern Thailand

The festive season begins in Northern Thailand with Loy Krathong, one of the country’s most cherished cultural celebrations. At Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai and Four Seasons Tented Camp Golden Triangle, guests can experience the gentle glow of floating lanterns and traditional rituals that honour gratitude, renewal and new beginnings.

On November 24, 2026, KHAO by Four Seasons in Chiang Mai will mark the occasion with an evening celebration featuring the symbolic release of beautifully handcrafted krathongs, small, handcrafted baskets traditionally floated on the water to honour the Water Goddess while expressing gratitude and welcoming fresh beginnings. The celebration continues with an authentic Thai feast showcasing the rich culinary heritage and seasonal flavours of Northern Thailand.

At Four Seasons Tented Camp Golden Triangle, the Festival of Lights unfolds beside the river, where guests will release handcrafted krathongs into the flowing waters before gathering for an authentic Kanthok dinner, a traditional Northern Thai family-style dining experience served by the river. The evening comes alive with captivating cultural performances, including graceful Thai classical dance, vibrant drum performances and the Krathong Sai display, creating an unforgettable celebration of Northern Thailand's rich heritage and enduring traditions.

Thanksgiving, a Celebration of Seasonal Abundance

As the festive calendar continues, Thanksgiving traditions are thoughtfully reimagined through Thailand’s vibrant flavours and landscapes. At Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai, NORTH by Four Seasons offers guests the opportunity to gather beneath the evening sky for an open-air celebration featuring premium grilled specialities, seasonal creations and interactive culinary stations showcasing the abundance of the season.

In the Golden Triangle, Thanksgiving offers another memorable opportunity to gather with family and friends. Guests can savour a thoughtfully curated dinner featuring traditional roasted turkey carving, alongside dishes inspired by the flavours of Northern Thailand and crafted with the finest seasonal ingredients. Set against the backdrop of the Camp’s serene wilderness, the evening celebrates gratitude, connection and the simple joy of sharing exceptional time with loved ones.

Gathering Through Festive Dining

Across Thailand, Christmas celebrations take on the distinctive character of each Four Seasons destination.

At Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai, Christmas Eve comes alive at Rim Tai Kitchen with seasonal delicacies, live music and festive encounters for guests of all ages. Christmas Day continues at NORTH by Four Seasons with a family-style festive dinner served against the picturesque backdrop of rice fields, followed by a celebratory lunch at Rim Tai Kitchen featuring Thai, Asian and Western favourites alongside family-friendly entertainment.

Deep within the Golden Triangle, Christmas unfolds beneath the jungle canopy at Four Seasons Tented Camp Golden Triangle. Guests can begin the evening with a festive aperitif at Mai Pai Lounge before gathering at the Camp’s Riverside for a Christmas Eve Jungle Dinner. Beneath a canopy of stars, the family-style feast brings together holiday flavours and Camp favourites, creating an intimate celebration surrounded by the beauty of nature.

On the shores of Koh Samui, Christmas Eve transforms the Main Beach into a magical seaside gathering featuring holiday favourites, Thai specialities and freshly caught local seafood, accompanied by live music, handcrafted cocktails and a spectacular fireworks display over the Gulf of Thailand. The celebrations continue on Christmas Day with a festive brunch at KOH Thai Kitchen overlooking panoramic ocean views.

Ushering in the New Year in Style

As the year comes to an end, Four Seasons properties in Thailand welcome the arrival of 2027 with celebrations that reflect the character of each destination.

In Chiang Mai, The Magic of Thailand New Year’s Eve Celebration brings together an al fresco feast, Lanna cultural performances, live music and a midnight countdown beneath the Northern Thailand sky. The new year begins with a relaxed breakfast celebration at KHAO by Four Seasons, accompanied by live music and international favourites.

In the Golden Triangle, the New Year unfolds amid the serenity of the jungle. Guests can choose between an elegant five-course dinner at Nong Yao Restaurant or a magical riverside celebration featuring traditional Thai performances, festive desserts and a midnight countdown beneath the stars.

On Koh Samui, guests can welcome the New Year with exceptional dining experiences at KOH Thai Kitchen and Pla Pla, or celebrate at the Sea of Wonder Party on the Main Beach, featuring live entertainment, DJ performances, handcrafted cocktails and fireworks over the Gulf of Thailand.

Ivan Giles, General Manager of Four Seasons Resort Chiang Mai and Tented Camp Golden Triangle, adds, “This festive season, Four Seasons properties in Thailand welcome travellers to embrace meaningful traditions, authentic local culture and the extraordinary beauty of each destination. Enriched by the warmth of Thai hospitality, every gathering becomes a treasured memory to carry into the year ahead.”
