Living life without regrets and driven to succeed, Vallapha Srijame has more than a decade of conference services experience across markets and brands in the region. With a keen focus on the business, Vallapha, or “Tangmo” as she is called affectionately, pairs her strong work ethic with a friendly and personable demeanour. “Smiling goes a long way,” she says, and in her experience, has helped build trust and lasting relationships with both colleagues as well as clients. “I am frank and honest – this has helped me avoid conflict before things come to a head,” she shares.

Starting out young as a secretary to the director of food and beverage at the Novotel Suvarnabhumi Airport Hotel in 2007, she learned to organise schedules and streamline the administrative side of operations. Recognised as a valuable asset, she was promoted as a sales executive and tasked with the sales of catering and convention services - a role that she excelled at. Equipped to handle larger groups and efficient at coordinating events, Vallapha was hired as catering sales manager at the Swissôtel Nai Lert Park Hotel Bangkok. Gaining a strong reputation for her ability, she then joined the Royal Orchid Sheraton Hotel as event sales and services manager. She embraced the additional responsibilities in this managerial role, approaching every situation with a smile. “It’s easier said than done,” she says, “Demonstrating competence rather than talking about it has helped me garner the support of my colleagues.”

More recently, as a senior sales manager (MICE) at the Rayong Marriott Resort and Spa, Vallapha made an enormous impact even during the pandemic, driving revenue and achieving her banquet and room budgets.

She has always admired the Four Seasons brand and while honing in on her experience in catering and conference services, Vallapha is excited about the opportunity to learn about leisure sales. “The Golden Rule’and the work-life balance are the most attractive things! Learning and growing is easy when you’re surrounded by wonderful people.”

When not at work, Vallapha is either beachcombing across the wonderful destinations within Thailand or staying connected with herself through a unique hobby: “I like to assemble puzzles and micro-scale Lego blocks – this helps me concentrate and connect with myself in a fun way!”
