This July, taking centre stage at Bar Trigona at Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur: seven years of mixology, memories, and the magical moments that take a night from ordinary to unforgettable. In celebration of its seventh anniversary, the multi-awarded destination bar is bringing back its most popular cocktails for a trip down memory lane.
Kicking off with an anniversary gala on July 1, 2025, Handpicked by Trigona is a curated anthology of cocktails that have defined its journey so far. Marking seven years of excellence behind the bar, the selection showcases standouts from menus over the years — from the very first sip that put Bar Trigona on the map to the latest innovations pushing the boundaries of flavour and storytelling.
“This collection isn’t just about our bestsellers. It’s about the drinks that have shaped us, challenged us, and captured the spirit of Bar Trigona as it has evolved over the years, while always remaining true to its original promise — to deliver an imaginative, locally rooted drinking experience,” shares Beverage Manager Rohan Matmary.
With each cocktail, guests will taste a moment in time — a reflection of the people, ingredients and inspirations that brought it to life. One can revisit the bar’s early days with The Green Hornet (Trigona Bee menu, 2018); discover its low-waste focus with Dance of Calypso (Life Cycle of a Fruit menu, 2022); and embrace recent bold experiments with Inca (Colour Me Curious 1.0 menu, 2024).
Honey plays a starring role, of course, as it has since the bar’s inception. From its hive-themed design to its honey-forward cocktails, Bar Trigona has always drawn inspiration from its namesake Trigona honey, made by stingless bees native to the Malaysian tropics and prized for its unique taste.
An Acclaimed Journey
Bar Trigona’s distinctive cocktails, playful glamour and warm hospitality have made waves not just in Malaysia but also regionally and globally. Opening its doors in 2018, the bar debuted among Asia’s 50 Best Bars in less than a year and has maintained a spot on the coveted list for six consecutive years, the bar is currently ranked at #36.
Other accolades include the award for Siete Misterios Best Cocktail Menu in Asia 2022, and the title of Best International Hotel Bar in Asia by Tales of the Cocktail Foundation in 2022 and 2024. Earlier this year, Bar Trigona was also ranked the #3 Bar in Malaysia by the inaugural edition of Tatler Best Malaysia.

The story of Bar Trigona is woven with the flavours and traditions of Malaysia. A farm-to-glass approach puts the spotlight on homegrown ingredients, carefully sourced from local farmers and food producers. Partner communities are supported and empowered in a variety of ways, from reforestation initiatives to the long-standing Adopt a Beehive program which supports sustainable beekeeping.
The team’s creativity extends from root to shoot, with the aim of minimizing food waste and extracting fresh tastes and textures from familiar ingredients. Seed and leaf, petal and bark — everything finds its way into the cocktail glass in one form or another.
