Starting June 1, 2023, Four Seasons Hotel Kyoto welcomes summertime with a new Afternoon Tea crafted in collaboration with Molton Brown, the acclaimed British fragrance brand with a Royal Warrant awarded by the late Queen Elizabeth II.
Inspired by Molton Brown’s signature fragrances, the exquisite menu sparkles with the vibrancy and freshness of early summer. Available until June 30, 2023, this fragrant feast can be enjoyed at The Lounge & Bar, framed by the glorious sunlit greens of the Hotel’s 800-year-old pond garden.

The dining experience is complemented by gifts from Molton Brown. Guest giveaways include a limited number of mini bath and shower gels, available in sublime fragrances such as Coastal Cypress & Sea Fennel and Heavenly Gingerlily.
Molton Brown Afternoon Tea
The Lounge & Bar brings guests on an enchanting teatime journey, conjuring the cool, refreshing feeling of an early summer’s day. Taking inspiration from Molton Brown’s signature ingredients and colours, the Four Seasons team presents an inventive array of sweets and savouries, woven with flowers, fruits and herbs.
Discover stunning sweet creations such as the White Peach & Violet Verrine, layered with fragrant violet jelly and white peach compote; Raspberry & Rose Sorbet, inspired by Molton Brown’s perfume bottles; and Jasmine & Mango Pudding, a soft mango pudding topped with jasmine tea and lemongrass jelly.
On the savoury side, guests can enjoy refined bites such as the Tea Marinated Duck Burger, featuring succulent roast duck marinated in Darjeeling tea, and the Pumpkin Brûlée with Cream Cheese & Pain d'Épices, a velvety pudding with elements such as French gingerbread and pumpkin — both reminiscent of Molton Brown products.
The refreshing Welcome Drink combines Ronnefeldt jasmine tea, blue curacao and non-alcoholic white wine, its sea-blue hue inspired by the popular Coastal Cypress & Sea Fennel range by Molton Brown. The Orange Martini mocktail, available exclusively for the Hotel’s LINE friends, blends blood orange juice with golden osmanthus syrup — a vibrant homage to Molton Brown’s Heavenly Gingerlily line.
Guests can also choose from an extensive selection of beverages, including 27 premium teas from Ronnefeldt, hot chocolates by Valrhona, and original tea and coffee blends by Four Seasons Hotel Kyoto.
