Run for a Cause: Four Seasons Resort Langkawi to Host the Island’s Third Terry Fox Fun Run on June 13, 2026

In a continued show of community spirit and purpose, the team at Four Seasons Resort Langkawi will once again lead this year’s Terry Fox Fun Run in Langkawi.

Returning to the island for the third time, the Terry Fox Run carries forward the extraordinary legacy of 22-year-old Terry Fox, who embarked on his Marathon of Hope across Canada after losing his right leg to bone cancer. More than 5,000 kilometres (3,000 miles) and 143 days later, he was forced to stop when the cancer returned, having inspired an outpouring of support that raised CAD 24 million for cancer research.

Inspired by Terry’s unwavering resolve, Four Seasons Founder and Chairman Isadore Sharp played an instrumental role in organising the very first Terry Fox Run in 1981, marking the start of a global movement. Today, over 12,000 annual runs take place around the world, many of which are hosted by Four Seasons.

Four Seasons Resort Langkawi welcomes the community to lace up for this meaningful event and make a collective stride towards Terry’s vision of a world free from cancer. Open to all ages and fitness levels, the Terry Fox Fun Run encourages everyone to take part at their own pace, whether running, jogging, walking or simply cheering from the sidelines, in a shared gesture of solidarity. All funds raised will go to Cancer Research Malaysia, supporting vital work in cancer prevention and treatment.

Set to take place on Saturday, June 13, 2026, the Terry Fox Fun Run will follow a five‑kilometre (3 miles) route, beginning at 7:00 am from Dataran Tanjung Rhu and ending at the same location.
