Lisbon, Portugal

Led by Chef Rodolfo Lavrador since early 2025, CURA at Four Seasons Hotel Ritz Lisbon makes its debut in La Liste 2026, reaffirming its position among the world’s finest restaurants. The distinction reflects CURA’s ever-evolving pursuit of excellence and its dedication to honouring Portuguese terroir—a testament to the continual refinement and creative vision of Rodolfo Lavrador and sous-chef Marina Garcia.

Held annually in Paris, La Liste is a global gastronomy ranking. Drawing on scores from hundreds of international publications, culinary guides, and customers’ reviews, the data-driven list highlights the World’s 1,000 Best Restaurants, spanning everything from casual dining to the most refined gastronomic destinations.

“We are honoured to receive such a prestigious recognition from La Liste. Entering in La Liste feels like a resounding vote of confidence from our entire community — our guests, industry peers, and the media,” says Chef Rodolfo. “Joining so many restaurants in this award is truly humbling and is a recognition which belongs to our whole team, whose passion fills CURA every day as they constantly push for more — through continuous effort, innovation and passion bringing joy in everything we do.”

Proudly retaining its Michelin-star rating for four consecutive years, CURA’s culinary identity is deeply rooted in the flavours of Portugal’s diverse regions, celebrating their ingredients with purity and balance to reveal each product’s truest expression. The approach is simultaneously minimalist and innovative, yet also emotional and nostalgic—where the unexpected emerges naturally from creativity and technique. This vision gives rise to dishes that stir emotion and awaken memory, offering a sensorial journey grounded in the very essence of flavour. Currently on the menu, one dish features Scarlet Shrimp, açorda, and ice plant — an ode to creativity, Portuguese nostalgia, and vibrant flavours.

CURA’s menu is a thoughtfully composed culinary narrative that honours seasonal ingredients and Portugal’s small-scale producers. Each creation is both a tribute to the product and the land, and a creative exploration that—through a minimalist approach—manages to surprise while delivering profoundly expressive flavours.

With just 30 seats, CURA’s intimate setting blends elegance with openness, creating a natural dialogue between the dining room and the open kitchen. This almost theatrical dynamic fosters connection, sharing, and sensory discovery. Surrounded by modern Portuguese art that echoes the hotel’s cultural identity, CURA becomes a meeting point between gastronomy and art—where flavours, textures, and stories invite interpretation much like the artworks themselves.
