Four Seasons Hotel Madrid, where art meets heritage

Madrid, Spain
Ever since the so-called Spanish Golden Age, Spanish culture has revolved around Madrid. It was and still is a magnet for important literati and writers, intellectuals, artists of all disciplines, painters, film-makers, and more. Madrid is one of the painting capitals of the world and Four Seasons Hotel Madrid has a private collection of Spanish art. Located within walking distance of the Hotel, the Prado Museum is the jewel in this precious crown, alongside the National Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum, one of the most important museums in Madrid, of which the Hotel has a series of replicas distributed throughout the building, and the Reina Sofia Museum. There are other museums of great relevance such as the San Fernando Royal Academy (right opposite the Four Seasons Hotel Madrid) and others of enormous interest but perhaps lesser known, such as the Archaeology Museum, the Sorolla Museum and the Museum of Romanticism. Madrid is a museum city full of masterpieces; masterpieces that can also be found in the huge number of palaces, convents and historic churches dotted around the city. The Royal Palace is one of the most significant and beautiful in the world. The cultural wealth of Madrid also extends to the performing arts. The Royal Theatre is one of the most important lyric theatres in Europe. Madrid is the city with the most Flamenco venues in the world and its name cannot be ignored when discussing the best Flamenco singing and dancing. Its iconic Gran Vía is known as the “Spanish Broadway” as it is the leading showcase in the world for musical productions in Spanish. The Concierge team will be happy to organise visits to those cultural experiences of most interest to guests.
