For Jihane Rateb, hospitality has always been a journey of discovery. Before finding her home in hotels, she followed a deep curiosity about the world that led her to the skies as an air hostess. It was there, travelling between diverse cultures and meeting people from all walks of life, that she refined her sense of service and realized that her true calling was not just seeing the world, but welcoming the world to her home.
Upon returning to Morocco to put down roots in Marrakech, Jihane found that her path naturally aligned with Four Seasons. She didn’t start in an office; she began her career at the Concierge desk, drawn there by the simple joy of speaking directly with guests and the chance to unlock the secrets of the city for them. Over the years, that passion saw her take on various roles within the Rooms division, learning the heartbeat of the resort from the ground up.
A graduate with a Degree in Economics and Enterprise Management, Jihane brings a unique blend of sharp thinking and genuine warmth to her role. After a pivotal time as Director of Guest Experience, where she brought the guest and concierge teams closer together to elevate the standard of care, she stepped up as Assistant Director of Rooms. Her journey is defined not by titles, but by her dedication to the guest-centric culture that makes the resort feel like a true sanctuary in the heart of Morocco.
Now as Director of Rooms, Jihane’s focus is clear: to make every guest fall in love with Marrakech, just as she did. Whether it’s through the stunning views of the Atlas Mountains from the terraces or the genuine warmth of the local team, she’s passionate about creating stays that feel personal and unforgettable. It’s not uncommon for her to create magic for the guests, from arranging a genuine Moroccan mint tea ritual to ensuring a family feels the embrace of Moroccan hospitality the moment they arrive, Jihane finds joy in the small, meaningful touches that turn a stay into a memory. Just as important to her is nurturing a family-like environment where her colleagues feel inspired, valued, and happy to come to work each day.
Outside of work, Jihane is a proud mother of two daughters and loves rediscovering the magic of Marrakech through their eyes. She strives to be a role model for them, showing that it is possible to balance a demanding career with grace and authenticity. Whether she is sharing a quiet moment in the resort gardens or enjoying time with her family, she focuses on inspiring those around her through her actions.
