Nestled in the heart of the French Alps, Michelin-starred La Dame de Pic – Le 1920 at Four Seasons Hotel Megève has a warm and intimate atmosphere. The restaurant exudes contemporary elegance, and offers sweeping panoramic views of Megève.

Evolving with each winter season, the restaurant menu undergoes a captivating transformation, ensuring a memorable gastronomic journey that celebrates local ingredients. Anne-Sophie Pic constantly strives to find the perfect harmony in her creations, creating dishes that draw inspiration from nature. Foraging for plants, herbs, leaves and buds has long played an integral role in the creative foundation of each of her culinary creations. The resulting flavours come together in a subtle balance, revealing the robust strength and delicate expression of each ingredient.

Over the course of the season, Anne-Sophie Pic will work with Chef Armando Acquaviva to create comforting dishes that revolve around roasted notes uplifted by the tangy, bitter aromas of citrus fruits. Originally from Italy, Chef Acquaviva joined the team at La Dame de Pic – Le 1920 when it opened in 2021.

The harmony between art, nature and gastronomy is epitomised through dishes that perfectly embody a mountain spirit, mirroring the surrounding alpine setting. The restaurant paints a culinary portrait of the region, spotlighting cheeses, dairy products, and local plants, most notably aromatic mountain herbs. This season, a delectable new winter theme unfolds, celebrating local flavours and texture combinations. The chef’s exquisite dishes, such as her Cévennes Sweet Onion Royale, burst with creativity and zesty flavours. “I really wanted to rework a Royale, a classic of French cuisine. The recipe I created is a cross between a Royale and Chawanmushi, a savoury egg custard dish in Japanese cuisine. This Royale showcases seasonal ingredients and mountain produce, with Cévennes sweet onions, farmhouse bacon, black garlic, Drôme truffles and smoked vanilla,” says Chef Anne-Sophie Pic.

The region’s iconic Berlingots also take centre stage this season, featuring a blend of Savoy reblochon cheese and Ardèche chestnuts delicately flavoured with caraway and chamomile.

In collaboration with Eric Verbauwhede, Anne-Sophie Pic’s Executive Pastry Chef, and Jonathan Chapuy, Executive Pastry Chef of Four Seasons Megève Collection, Pic has crafted a selection of mouthwatering desserts such as Herbaceous Chocolate and Green Chartreuse, and an exquisite Queen of the Meadows Millefeuille with malted barley and local beer.

To elevate the dining experience, Pic's Executive Chef Sommelière Paz Levinson and Head Sommelier Samy Sbiti have created innovative food and beverage pairings. This carefully curated selection includes both vintage wines and non-alcoholic creations, inviting guests on a culinary journey to discover rare and iconic wines as well as exceptional teas.

The highlight of the season is a series of “Sublime Pairing” dinners, welcoming key figures from esteemed wineries. On January 11, 2024, the restaurant will host Domaine Laffite Rothschild, while Domaine des Comtes Lafon will be present on a date to be announced imminently. Guests will indulge in a seven-course menu crafted by Chef Anne-Sophie Pic, with dishes that beautifully pair with the showcased vintages.

During this special occasion, guests will have the special opportunity to visit the legendary cellar of Four Seasons Hotel Megève, which houses more than 14,000 bottles, including a vintage Château Laffite Rothschild 1er Grand Cru Classé from 1869.

The restaurant will be open from December 15, 2023, from Tuesday to Saturday evening and on Saturday afternoons.
