The Star of the North: Stadium Suites at Four Seasons Hotel Minneapolis

Minneapolis, USA

Hey, sports fans — step up to the plate and take in the newest all-star hospitality experience: Stadium Suites at Four Seasons Hotel Minneapolis!

Stadium Suites are corner rooms with expansive views of downtown Minneapolis. As the name indicates, the view encompasses all three of the area’s professional sports venues: Target Field, home of the Minnesota Twins; Target Center, home of the Minnesota Lynx and Timberwolves; and U.S. Bank Stadium, home of the Minnesota Vikings. In addition to our pro sports hubs, the expanse includes other notable sights, including the Mississippi River and the bustle of downtown Minneapolis below.

“You get a roundabout view of both sides of the city from above, and the floor-to-ceiling windows allow for a lot of natural sunlight,” says Liane DCunha, Director of Reservations for Four Seasons Hotel Minneapolis. “Additionally, most city hotels aren’t situated this high up, so you get a bird’s eye view of what’s happening all around.”

Home Field Advantage

Situated between the 23rd and 29th floors, the Hotel’s seven Stadium Suites (six standard and one accessible) start at 972 square feet (90 square metres) with a full bath, separate living room, adjacent powder room, pull-out sofa, dining table and choice of one or two bedrooms.

“Because we’re an urban-style hotel, we get lots of different types of guests: business of course, but also leisure travellers, or guests coming for a staycation,” Liane says. “Our rooms reflect that. You can use the table as a meeting space, or if you’re with your family or partner, you can use that same table for an amazing room service dinner.”

“We aimed to give the suites a residential feel,” adds Bowin Nguon, Assistant Director of Rooms. “Rooms are curated with a throw blanket, locally made artwork and décor.”

Each suite also contains a cocktail setup complete with ingredients, tools and directions to make a craft cocktail. “We can even do a sports amenity, with beer and nuts and popcorn,” Bowin says. “We try to personalize as much as we can.”

A Team Sport

While the view is a draw for sports fans — or anyone who loves a sweeping metropolis panorama — Liane says Stadium Suites are most popular with families.

“A lot of city hotel suites are smaller, or have a corporate feel, and may not have a separate bedroom with a sofa bed,” says Liane. “Our suites have ample space for your family — and the fact that you can close doors between spaces is huge.”

In addition to Stadium Suites, Four Seasons Hotel Minneapolis offers guests several other suite experiences. Studio-style suites include the Skyline Executive Suite, with sweeping city views; the slightly larger River-View Executive Suite, with sights of the Mighty Mississippi; and the River-View Executive Corner Suite, with a two-way river and skyline view, which can be connected to another unit to create a two-bedroom as well.

Playing with Heart

Creating a next-level experience begins prior to the visit: our Guest Experience team reaches out to each guest before their stay to learn about preferences, dietary restrictions and the reason behind their visit to add pitch-perfect amenities to the suites.

This team is also available to help with anything from customized local experiences and restaurant reservations to flower arrangements and celebratory amenities to access to the house car, which is available for all guests on a first-come, first-served basis.

“We pride ourselves on delivering first-class, personalized service,” Bowin says. “And I can’t imagine any other property has views that come close to competing with Four Seasons Hotel Minneapolis.”
